Speech in Toastmasters - Need Topic Suggestions

Can anyone suggest any topics -

The objective of my speech is "get to the point". Its extremely broad ... your suggestions are appreciated.

I'm in ToastMaster's now -

We just had a speech on

"Who owns Linux" - was quite interesting

others that could be fun would be:

What I would do if I were CEO / CIO / etc

President for a day

Why the RIAA should be closed

Anything really - just have a clear introduction - 2-3 solid points in the body -wrap up and close hard.

One of the best pieces of advice I got about giving presentations....know your topic down cold. For speeches like this, choose something you know a great deal about and/or care about. Your comfort level will really lend itself to a better presentation.

You should know your subject matter well enough that you could do it on auto-pilot. Sometimes I would practice presentations and have friends/co-workers intentionally try to rattle me with crazy questions, side conversations, etc.
