High End Watches....

Want some advice on where to get high-end watches online. I live about 100-150 miles from the nearest dealer for any such watch and don't want to drive 300 miles round trip just for the priviledge of paying extra. Can anyone recommend some reliable online sites?
I'm also looking for brand recommendations. I want to stay under $1800 and want a watch that is non-black face, has luminous hands, and is waterproof to at least 30Meters.
BTW it is for my Father's 70th B'Day.

www.ashford.com
www.2000watches.com
www.backintimeintl.com
www.worldlux.com

(but your best bet would be to take a quick flight down to the Virgin Islands -- best watch jewelers around)

Not really, my father is the best father anyone could have, he's deserved this(and more) for a long time.

Visit timezone.com for all the info you could have ever hoped for on watches. In my opinion, I would be looking at Omega at that price range. You should be able to find them for 30-40% off from authorized retailers. Make sure to be from an authorized dealer (non-internet only) because then Omega will honor the warranty on your watch and you ensure that you are getting a genuine Omega.

I got my dad this omega for his 50th a couple of years ago.

Got it for around 900, I don't think he's worn it once, he thinks its too expensive to wear

If you want to get an Omega, I have a contact on the East Coast that I found while I was doing my search for a new watch that sells genuine Omega's at roughly 30% off list. These are brand new watches.

Go to timezone.com and search for "keith's dealer". You'll see the numerous positive feedback on there.

I decided to buy a Tag but the Omega Speedmaster date was my 2nd choice... I just wish it had a bigger face.

Goto www.omega.ch and check your nearest dealer. You can find a out of state dealer and ask if they can ship it to you, so you don't have to pay sales tax. Look for 30%~40% off MSRP.

Thanks for all of your help. I got an Omega Constellation Automatic Chronometer from an authorized dealer for a little more than the mail order place. Knowing the mailorder price beforehand was very useful.
