Is going out the day before an acceptable alternative? I hate long waits, even with reservations.

I was thinking of going here.

I would enjoy going to dinner on Valentine's Day if I had someone to go with.

My wife and I are also going out tonight instead of tomorrow. Beat the crowds.

I don't care for going out on Valentine's day, but its important to my wife, so we will. Unfortunately, the only reservations for dinner I could get was at 8:45... Sigh...

Try appreciating your loved one every week, instead of one day a year.

Preferrably with heavy, blunt objects.

Once again, bad advice is dispensed in Otter. Why am I not surprised?

we went out last night, but not really for valentines day. We don't really celebrate this holiday. I don't need a special day to tell my hubby that I love him.

I've found that celebrating a few days before the actual day is much nicer. No huge loud ass crowds, no long waits, and you get the whole damn event out of the way early.

Restaurants are extra-crowded all weekend as Vday is on a Monday. We waited 30 minutes for a table at a restaurant we rarely have to wait for a table at last night.

going to a restaurant wouldn't hold much significance for me and my girlfriend because we eat out a few times a week. so tomorrow, we will be cooking dinner together at home, exchanging a few gifts, and walking down the street to see Chungking Express. and next weekend we're camping in Big Sur. we already have all our gear sitting by the front door, ready to go.

I don't remember it having any sex scenes worth watching.

My girlfriend and I went out last night, because it's much harder to do something on a weeknight for us. We had a more relaxing time by going out on a weekend. We went to dinner and then saw Million Dollar Baby afterward. It was packed anyways at the restaurant though, even with a reservation we still waited a half hour.

We're going to the Melting Pot tonight instead of tomorrow. Bastards still stuck me with the "one-price, single menu" bullshit, which means I have to shell out $109 just to walk in the door (we usually spend around that much anyway, but it's still bullshit).

Why would I go out to dinner on Valentine's Day?

I hate eating alone.

The Melting Pot is fucking awesome - enjoy! (Beware, it is spendy, but since you're there, spend the time and money in choosing a quality wine!)

I'm very single, and I usually go out Mondays for a bite and a flick. I'm not sure if I should stay at home to avoid ridicule or say "screw you, people in love" and do my normal routine.
