My clothes dryer doesn't dry as well as in the past. HELP!!

My clothes dryer doesn't dry as well as in the past. HELP!!

I've cleaned out the lint and the heater elemnets inside seem to be working, yet it takes 2 or 3 cycles to dry oen load, it used to take only 1

any ideas?

Check the exhaust vent. If it gets clogged (and it does!) it will prevent the thing from dryng.

Good point. Work from the dryer all the way to the exhaust vent. Your line is probably half plugged.

another vote for check the hose coming out the rear of the machine...also check any ports going into walls or out side your home...

is the drum inside tumbling?

Maybe your washer isn't spinning as much as before so your clothes are a little wetter.

And the plot thickens......

Check the elements again. You might have two and only one of them burned out.

I had this problem... I had a guy come out and clean the dryer vent. Its a good thing because there was a HUGE birds nest in the vent. I'm lucky my house didn't burn down.
