I bet I have the strangest phobia of anyone here

OMFG. There is nothing more disgusting in all the world. Even this picture gives me the willies. I can't stand to be around them. Strange thing is, they don't bother me when someone is wearing them. That's okay. But to see them loose, by themselves is unnerving. To see someone take them out is even more disgusting. Even typing this post is making me sick to my stomach. I have to leave now.

Ever since I saw the Country Bears at Disneyland as a kid, I've been totally creeped out by animatronics. I hate going to Chuck E. Cheese with my daughter because of that creepy-ass animatronic band with its unblinking, Stepford-esque smiles.

Mary Hart on "Entertainment Tonight" gives me the same vibe.

I have a huge phobia of unclean bathrooms. If I see a dirty tub or toilet on TV, I have to change the channel. I can't pee anywhere if the toilet or overall bathroom area is nasty-flithy. And yes, my bathrooms are spotless - probably cleaner than most surgical bays.

I also have a phobia of traveling.

And of frogs. I hate frogs.

And deep water really freaks me out.

And the dark, I hate the dark.

I'm pathetic.

Lucy Van Pelt: Are you afraid of responsibility? If you are, then you have hypengyophobia.
Charlie Brown: I don't think that's quite it.
Lucy Van Pelt: How about cats? If you're afraid of cats, you have ailurophasia.
Charlie Brown: Well, sort of, but I'm not sure.
Lucy Van Pelt: Are you afraid of staircases? If you are, then you have climacaphobia. Maybe you have thalassophobia. This is fear of the ocean, or gephyrobia, which is the fear of crossing bridges. Or maybe you have pantophobia. Do you think you have pantophobia?
Charlie Brown: What's pantophobia?
Lucy Van Pelt: The fear of everything.
Charlie Brown: THAT'S IT!!!

What about this?

As for me, I wouldn't call it a phobia, but I am extremely eyeball squeamish. There's no way I will ever be able to get contacts, because I can't touch my eyes. If I get a lash in there it takes me about an hour of flushing to get it out. When people do that thing where they flip their eyelids back, that's the sickest thing imaginable.

I constantly live in fear that strangers will come up to me and offer me $100 to let them pee on my feet. I mean....free $100, right? But, still.....

I'm not crazy about spiders, and I don't like climbing ladders, but I wouldn't call either a phobia.

Speaking of eyeball squeamish, my wife is like that. When we first started dating, she was in the process of trying to get contact lenses. She couldn't hack it, because she couldn't stand to touch her eyeball. Just before we got married, I had LASIK surgery on my eyes, and she can't even sit and listen to me talk about it.

I have the same feeling towards eyes. I especially hate when I can see someone's eyes really close and their eyes move fast.
