How do i find out if/what crimes have been committed in my neighborhood?

is there any way to research or find out just what kind of criminal activity has occurred in a certain neighborhood ? i mean is there a public record or something i can access ?

Well if you're a california resident, i know you can go to this site:

and type in your address. it'll give you a list of people (including their pictures and address) that are registered sex offenders. It also lists what the crime was...

i did a search for my neighborhood and found 17 rapists/child molesters/sex freaks in my neighborhood alone.

a coworker who lives in montebello checked and found 74!!!!!

This should do the trick. I didn't peruse the stats...but it wasn't hard to find: Georgia Crime Statistics

Good luck!

Your local precinct should have statistics on all crimes (not just sex crimes).
