Motion to Pass: 2 holdem rule changes

1. eliminate the river card. i have noticed most players don't think it is a legit part of your poker hand anyways. if it completes your hand, you are just a [email protected]@$ing @$#*([email protected]

2. officially redefine the term "bad beat" to mean any hand in which a player gets bummed out by his loss

3. Players who complain about getting beat on the river or use the term "bad beat" to discribe losing a margional hand gets their chat turned off for a round.

The Bike tried "LA Holdem." Everybody gets their own river card. Never caught on.

4. Big pocket pairs are automatic winners, even if you just limped in to bring as many into the pot as possible. Any losses in such situations are patently unfair.

5. Before the first betting round, players may discard one card and draw a replacement. Except for the blinds, who may have both cards replaced if there is a pre-flop raise. The draw is optional.

6. if you bet more than your opponent can match, he is forced to fold and forfeit the pot to you.

7. If you have top pair on a straight or flush draw board and you get beat by the river, you split the pot.

but we already eliminated the river card... perhaps this could be instituted on the new final card - the turn.

If you eliminate the river, won't most people just start bitching about getting beat on 4th street?

Personally, I'm tired of people beating me on the flop. If I draw pocket rockets, I should be able to walk away with everybody's money right then and there.

One pair beats a flush, unless its Axs.

* If two players have top pair on the flop, the player with the lower kicker automatically has to fold and not fish for 2 pair.

A player says "I've got the nuts" and everybody folds. He wins the pot, but must show his hand. Anybody who can beat him gets to kick him in the nuts.

Alternatively, whoever has the nuts after the flop may go all-in and win the pot to prevent people from fishing to get better hands after the turn/river.

Ooh! Ooh! Ooh!

I like that idea. Expand it by creating a side pot for whoever wants to go fishing after the flop.
