Used to use the 11.5 clay dice chips, which I bought on Ebay about 3 years ago. Those were a decent set of chips, but I really hate the sound of them - almost ear-piercing. Have since upgraded to a 9-gram composite set (the kind they give away on ECD). When I got those, I gave my 11.5s to a friend.

The ebay 11.5 gram chips. The design is actually pretty cool though. Instead of di or suits, there's A/K cards. Great set of chips, enclosed in my black-leather case.

Are there any poker chip give aways for signing up at the online casinos. I was looking for the 11.5 gram 500 chip set. I know they give out the 300 chip sets all the time but i was looking for 500.

There is a really cool set at costco for around $60. A lot of my friends have spent a couple hundred on chips and they are very impressed w/ this set. This link take you to the Howard Leder set but they sell the chips seperate. So if you need a set and don't want to hassle with ebay check it out: http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product...=&topnav=&cat=

I use the chips provided by the casino.

Tried bringing my own chips one time. The security guys have no sense of humor...

I prefer them to the 11.5g chips you commonly find. They feel and sound more authentic to me.

Looks like NJ recently came out with a new set (same type of chip as the above). Pretty sharp looking...

Yeah, I love the design on the Desert Sands chips.

Two things the kind of irk me about the NJ and DS chips:
1) No chip edge
2) Feel ridgy

I currently use the 11.5 composite chips that I purchased on eBay. Thinking of upgrading to some real clay chips. If anyone has any input on a good place to get these, I'd appreciate it.

www.ecasinodeals.com is a better site for comp chips, as they feature casinos that have lower limits that count. Such as pacific poker, sporting bet poker, etc.

I dep'd $100 into sporting bet, played 500 hands, got a $100 bonus on top of it, and have put in a request for the comp now (300 pc set with case).

Absolute poker works the same way, although hand requirements differ somewhat.

Plus the admin (Tom) replies to email quickly.

I don't think they have Pacific anymore.

Anyways, the best promo right now is The Gaming club. $20 for every 300brps (100 raked hands)

Oops, you're right.

Heyyy wait a sec, are you a chick, or just a dude named Ashley?

Gonna check out the Gaming Club. Although, I dont' like playing in .50/1 rooms all that much.

Dude.

I hate 0.50/1.00 rooms as well. Too many suckouts. 1/2 or 2/4 fills up pretty fast so sometimes I resort back to 0.50.

Phew, cuz we don't let women in this area of the forum!

I usually move up to .5/1 rooms after I make $50 on a .25/.50 room.

And my god, sportingbet poker is the worst. Nothing but Europeans who have no clue what "Fold" means. Which is great, except you get sucked out on the river waaaay too much. I love having AA beat by 83!
