XM Satellite Radio MyFi Delphi receiver questions

Hi

I am thinking of purchasing the Myfi receiver (portable) for XM radio, and I have a couple of questions.

I am likely going to buy this from Best Buy because I have gift cards to use there. The price is around $350.00. Does anyone know if these things are going to be on sale in the upcoming months?

Best Buy will install the car port for $50. Is it worth it to have them do the install or is it an easy thing to do myself? Has anyone had any experience with this?

Anyone have any feedback regarding reception in the San Jose, CA area?

Thanks.

probably not going to be going on sale since they're new and still in high demand.
As for the install, these things are very easy to install so save yourself the money and hassle of dealing the the idiots in the Best Buy car audio department and just do it yourself.

Another idea is the roady2 now has a portable kit to take with you. Price wise seems a lot cheaper.

I've heard horror stories about Best Buy XM installs... I did mine myself for my Roady. The folks on the boards at xmfan.com offer a lot of help and often post pictures of their installations.

Thanks for the advice. I bought one and I installed it myself yesterday. Wasn't very difficult.

Thanks also for the referral to xmfan.com. That was a big help.
