Doing a speech on the patriot act, anyone know any good websites?

Anyone know of any good patriot act based websites, telling what's going on with it lately, a history, etc? I've googled it but was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions.

I know that because of the Patriot Act I now have to take time out of my day and go to the post office with two forms of ID in order to keep my post office box . . . which I am forced to have since I can't get mail delivery where I live.

I know, it's just a minor annoyance in exchange for ALL of the terrorists that my government has stopped! Also a minor inconvenience compared to US citizens who have been "detained" and denied any of their rights over the last three years in the name of the Patriot Act.

You know the old addage: "When they came for the Jews I remained silent and safe. When they came for the blacks I remained silent and safe. When they came for the foreigners I remained silent and safe. When they came for me there was nobody left to fight for me."

I used to have to do that on an annual basis before the PATRIOT act was even conceived.

Regarding the initial question though check EPIC http://www.epic.org/privacy/terrorism/usapatriot/

and EFF http://www.eff.org/Privacy/Surveilla...orism/PATRIOT/

I suspect (although I haven't read them) both of these sites will be slanted a little more towards the "it's evil" aspect though so you might want to find a counter balancing page (depending upon why you are researching it in the first place though ).

EDIT: Seems to be some sort of "front page" for the act... never heard/seen it before though http://www.lifeandliberty.gov/

The movie "Unconstitutional" (now on DVD) explores the dark side (how it contradicts our constitutional freedoms).

It's good material for a speech, since it's narrated pretty well.
