Do any of you have any bourbon chicken recipes?

I am addicted to the bourbon chicken that I see at various malls in my area (ESPECIALLY at the Haywood Mall in Greenville, SC) and I want to know if any of you have any recipes to make something like that at home. Heck, I'm sure a couple of people here have even had exactly what I'm talking about in the mall.

Have any of you here ever made anything like this?

We had a cajun place at one of our malls called "The Big Easy" that had the best bourbon chicken, similar to Cajun Cafe's. I can't wait to try their's too.

Step 7: Turn oven the on

Step 8: Take 4 whisks of drinky

Step 9: Turk the bastey

Step 10: Whiskey another bottle of get

Step 11: Stick a turkey in the thermometer

Step 12: Glass yourself a pour of whiskey

Step 13: Bake the whiskey for 4 hours

Step 14: Take the oven out of the turkey

Step 15: Take the oven out of the turkey

Step 16: Floor the turkey up off the pick

Step 17: Turk the carvey

Step 18: Get yourself another scottle of botch

Step 19: Tet the sable and pour yourself a glass of turkey

Tandem, that was great.

Thanks everyone, I'm going to try this sometime. What kind of rice do you think would be really good with this? Anyone got any "rice secrets" also?

Oh yes, one more thing. How much would bourbon whiskey and white wine cost?

I'm sure we have one around here somewhere, but I don't know right off hand. I'll go off on my search soon.

How much does it go for usually?

No, I don't drink.

I have heard it said that only Kentucky made whiskey is considered Bourbon, but I am not the alcohol scholar, I just drink the stuff.

Jack Daniels or a cheaper american whiskey, like Jim Beam, is what you want.

there is this a brand called 'kentucky tavern' that i have seen in 3 restaurants i've worked at that had the occasional bourbon flavored special. I don't know if they get it because it's cheap or has a good flavor (or both) but it may be something to look for. You also could look for the small bottles of maker's mark or jim beam to save a few bucks since you aren't a drinker

from the straight dope.
Bourbon can be made anywhere in the U.S., but all but a couple of brands are made in Kentucky. Only the state of Kentucky can produce bourbon with its name on the label. The name comes from Bourbon county in the central bluegrass region of Kentucky. This county was named in 1785 to honor the French royal family and was once the major transshipment site for shipping distilled spirits down the Ohio and Mississippi rivers to New Orleans. Barrels shipped from there were stamped with the county's name, which then became the name of this kind of whiskey. Interestingly, there are no distillers in Bourbon county, Kentucky right now.

I actually still haven't made it, but I did buy everything needed to do so the other day. I should be taking this dive sometime in the next week or so.
