are hands more sensitive than lips?

I've read that your hand have more sense receptors than anywhere else in your body. Why are your lips more sensitive to an electric current than your fingers?

And for the record, I don't go around mouthing electrix wires, but I have stuck a battery in my mouth, and just now a serial cable.

Maybe also because lips are closer to your brain. Or because you generally don't have callouses (sp?) on your lips (I hope). Or the tissue is softer.

I hear your nuts are pretty receptive to electrical shock as well. I mean, not you personally, but... er... um... I have... somewhere else to be.

I totally agree with you. When I stick my tongue in an electric socket, it hurts much more than just my finger. And just now, cables attached to my car battery.

Pee on an electric fence and see how sensitive things are.

I'll smack you on the lips and we'll see which hurts more, my hand or your lips.

Holy crap. I thought I had replied to this with some pretty racy crap. Thankfully I must have decided not to hit the "reply" button.

Good decision. Too bad you decided to this time.

Too much beer tonight, dave. Let's hope those pills pay off.
