Just got T-mobile and it sucks, any chance to get out

Well I just switched to t-mobile and the reception sucks, I get no signal at home, none at my in-laws and none at my parents house, is there a way to get out of this, I heard I have 30 days but wanted to ask you guys before I call them.

I think you have 3 days...you just need to pay for the time you used.

i think t-mobile gives you 14 days to decide if you don't like the service due to reception problems..

but it could be 3, may have changed by now..

I tried out T-Mobile for 14 days and returned it for 2 reasons

1 - Verizon's reception was much better in my house, with no dropped calls.
2 - Spite (That's a whole other story)

Keep in mind you will be billed for about half a month

I agree with your assessment of T-mobile and aftermaths' assessment of Verizon.

Haha, spite. That reminds me of a Seinfeld episode.

I had the exact same problem with Cingular. I can get reception with my T-mobile phone all over the southeast (that i've travelled). I finally got enough & returned the 4th Cingular phone that they kept swapping out due to reception problems.

I don't think ANY carrier is perfect. It all depends on your area. For me, only T-mobile works.

BTW you have 14 days to return your phone and cancel service with them.

Good luck in your search for a useable carrier!

I recently switched to T Mobile after being with sprint for 2 years. My reception is much better both quality and strengthwise. Plus CZJ gives me the hot.

I switched to T Mobile in January after 3 years with AT and T.

AT and T's service was getting really really bad. I was only getting one bar of service if that.

Verizon doesn't work at all at my job, but T Mobile is great. I never miss a call, got a lot of extra features I didn't get with AT and T.

VErizon is the worst in my opinion, with ATT/Cingular being the best in Western PA, followed by T-Mobile.

It really does depend on where you live...BUT I also think it has to do with Customer service, which Verizon SUCKS BALLS in. I had them in like 1999, and my phone started acting up, so they claimed to repair it (while they had it for 2 weeks), and gave it back to me and it was WORSE. The phone (an audiovox) would shut off mid call, and then turn itself back on and dial the last number, in addition to only charging in the car for some reason, and other assorted issues...Anyways, these bastards, though I still had 8 months left on a 2 year contract, wouldn't allow me to purchase a new phone, nor would they replace it unless I signed up for 2 more years. One CSR even told me that should my current phone die completely, that they would not allow me to do anythng to get a new one, and advised that I put myself on the lowest cost plan that there was to ride out the remainder of the contract that I wouldn't be able to use. THEN they told me that to get out of the contract when the phone broke, I'd have to pay them $300. I had to knock it down to a $14.95 a month plan, and I threw the phone off of a bridge into a river. I even switched my home phone service away from Verizon over it.

I've been with AT&T since...best phones, best customer service, best reception. Their GSM service is WONDERFUL, and is getting even better since they hooked up with Cingular.

Out of all the cell phone companies I've had AT&T has sucked BALLS the most, while Verizon has been the best.

Well, your first choice to get out of this contract is Suicide. If that fails, then you can contact them and let them know that the service does not work at your home, and that is the reason you got a cell phone to replace your home phone which is now disconnected. My step-father did this with Verizon and after talking to a few reps they finally let him out of the contract a year early (so he could take advantage of my Cingular contract with an extra phone line for $9.99 a month).

My T-Mobile works in my house but my friends Sprint service craps up the second they walk in the door.

As others have said it's really all about where you live.

I use Sprint PCS and their reception is great here in San Diego. Service is pretty bad, but I never have any reason to call them so it doesn't bother me.
