Any Fresca drinkers out there?

I recently had my teeth whitened and my dentist talked to me about staining due to heavy consumption of dark colored sodas/drinks. I was a 2 liter (diet coke) a day guy.

In my quest to eliminate diet coke and dark colored drinks from my diet, I tried Fresca about a month ago. I like it SO much more than the cola based drinks now. I've never been a big 7up, sprite, mtn dew, etc. citrus based soda drinker.

I had always thought of Fresca as an odd, 70's era soda. Most commonly known by me in the movie Caddyshsack. Judge Smails says to Danny: "How about a Fresca?"

I was just curious as to how many others here are Fresca fans?

It's great with Amaretto or Skyy Berry.

I like it...But after a while you have to take a break from it. I prefer it over drinks such as 7up and Sprite though.

that is exactly what I always think of

Yeah, I buy once in a while. Great taste. My friend back when I was 12 liked it and got me hooked on it.

They have new packaging now.

<------- is a HUUUUGE fresca fan. and i meant huge as in i really like the drink, not because i am a big girl. well, i am a big girl, too but that is beside the point

only drawbacks are you DO get sick of the taste faster than cola drinks, imho, and the price--it is hard to find them on sale and you end up paying full price for them.

love the stuff!!

Everyone at work used to make fun of me for drinking it. I tried it once because I wanted to try one of those drinks I always saw in my Grandma's house but never tried.

Well I love it. and my office used to stock the stuff.

We started calling it "Vacation in a Can"

I was thinking of this soda just last week. It's been ages since I've drank some.... back when they also had Tab.

i have some right now.

great with amaretto.

GRAPEFRUIT soda... whoda thunk it.

It's a 70s drink cause it had cyclamates and disappeared from the market for a while - then finally came back a few years back.

Nope. It has an odd aftertaste to it. Kind of like diet sodas have. If there was nothing else around, I would drink a Fresca. Whereas if I had no other option, I still wouldn't drink a diet soda.

That's funny you relate it to one line from a film. Heh, I always picture Danny Devito when I think of Chunky candy bars, because of one line from a movie (I can't recall which one. "Twins" maybe?) 'Yeah, get me a Chunky."

I feel the same, after a while I grow tired of it, unlike other soft drinks like Coke or orange soda.

I have only tried it a few times at my parents house. I don't really have a good or bad idea of it.
