Christians vs. Lions: Christians 0, Lions 1

Man tries to convert lion to Christianity, gets bitten

TAIPEI, Taiwan - A man leaped into a lion’s den at the Taipei Zoo on Wednesday to try to convert the king of beasts to Christianity, but was bitten in the leg for his efforts.

“Jesus will save you!” shouted the 46-year-old man at two African lions lounging under a tree a few meters away.

“Come bite me!” he said with both hands raised, television footage showed.

One of the lions, a large male with a shaggy mane, bit the man in his right leg before zoo workers drove it off with water hoses and tranquilizer guns.

Newspapers said that the lions had been fed earlier in the day, otherwise the man might have been more seriously hurt ... or worse.

You'd be better off trying to convert those blood sucking monkeys, IMO.

Didn't this guy realize that there's a history of conflict between lions and Christians? Sheesh.

Apparently, Steve-O was also trying to convert a lion while filming a Nintendo commercial:

Thank you, JEStinson. I pride myself on creative, non-controversial, politically neutral thread titles.

Well, I'm off to start a "Kerry is a Big Fat Loser" thread in the election forum.

That's not animal sacrifice. It's just "grocery shopping"

Well they do have an up and coming QB and 2 really good young recievers...But damn, the Christians have JC, hard to believe that the Lions could even score with that kind of defense.

Remember, JC hasn't been seen in a while. The Christians keep saying he could show up any day but we're still waiting.

The Lions also beat the Saints in New Orleans back in 2000 C.E. It was a grueling battle won on special teams and defense.

I'm sure Roy would say he was just trying to protect him, although i don't know why a lion would want to protect a christian.
