Another new baby in the forum!

This past Saturday, October 30th, at 1:29 pm, my wife gave birth to a healthy baby boy. This is our first child. Her due date was November 7th, so he was just 8 days early. We were going to induce on Monday (Nov. 1st), but that wasn't needed.

His name is Jacob William. He weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces, and was 19 inches long.

Everyone is doing great, although it's a little different getting used to a newborn in the house.

The birth was an amazing experience. Unlike anything I thought it would be like.

I thought it would be like watching a wet St. Bernard trying to squeeze in through the cat door. I was right.

The bad news: DVD watching time just went out the window. In a few years, it will be limited to the 1000th playing of either The Little Mermaid 3 or The Lion King 4.

Oh man, you don't know how true that is. I have two boys, 7 and 2, and I swear, if I have to watch Spy Kids I or II or 3D my head will explode.

Congrats on the new baby - he's adorable!

Congrats my good man. Enjoy the tiny-baby stage while you can. Pretty soon, they turn E-VILLE, just like my youngest!

The first night home was kind of rough. Last night was a lot better.

Fortunately, I'm taking 2 weeks off from work. My wife is taking a full 12 weeks off.

Here's a pic from today (at 4 days old).
