What's the wierdest thing you ever got while Trick-0r-Treating as a kid?

I remember when I was about 7 or 8, someone gave me a can of grape juice. It's not like they ran out of candy-- one of my friends got candy, I got grape juice and a few pieces of candy (my costume wasn't a factor).

So, let's hear it.. what's the wierdest thing someone dropped into your goodie bag when you were a kid?

The drug dealer house down the street would give us condoms and would say they are balloons.

One guy on my street would take a nickel, put it in his mouth, then put it in our bag. I never understood what that was all about.

I know this isn't exactly what you are thinking of here, but the stragest thing I ever got while trick or treating was invited into somebody's house! I was in the second grade or third grade and my mom and sister were driving me around various neighborhoods, and we were near my elementary school. Well, I went to this one house and the father and mother answered the door and they gave me my candy and they asked if I wanted to come in and see their daughter. Young and totally oblivious, I was like, "Ok?" So I go in and the mother brings the daughter out and shows off her stupid costume like it's something special. If it's so damn special, then why don't you have her out trick or treating in it? Of course, I am not thinking any of these things at this time. I am pretty neutral to the whole thing, but I get back to my mom's car and she is freaking out and she sends my sister to the door to see if they will ask the same thing of her. I can't remember if they did.

The strangest FOOD I ever got, I suppose fruit? Not necessarilly strange, but it always pissed me off. Halloween isn't about pushing your health food agenda on poor little kids who only want candy. This is the one day out of the year you should indulge their sweet tooth, so get with it.

That's not all that strange, but usually it's because they decorated or are having a party. I got invited into a house one year, they had a witch's pot with dry ice in it, lots of party decorations and people in costumes. We were only in there for 30 seconds maybe. They wanted to be the cool house, it worked

I think I got money once. It would've been when I was 5 and it was our first Halloween in the apartment building. That was when I found out I was the only kid in the building and nobody bought any candy

A whole walnut (shell and all), which I'm seriously allergic to. It was given out by an old lady who seemed...well, very old fashioned. To my recollection, she never gave out candy. One year she gave out nickels. She and her husband were a nice couple and all, but I pretty much skipped their house on subsequent Halloweens.

Dental Floss.

My jerk sister got the mini-tube of toothpaste. At least that could have been put to immediate good use.

As far as being invited in, we had a local old guy who always had an open door on Halloween with plates full of cookies, brownies, etc., as well as pop and such. All the parents knew him, so there was no fear of strangeness going on. I think the poor guy was lonely so dishing out good food on Halloween made him happy.

A pencil - nothing like a good pencil fight after a night of trick-or-treatin'.
i think it was the same house that gave out tiny, multi-colored, scented (Sanrio-esque) erasers for another Hallloween. We found out they were erasers after one of our group put it in his mouth, thinking it was some weird type of candy - they did smell pretty good.

That nickle thing... eeeewww

^^^I saw the Google logo earlier this morning and thought it looked pretty cool... nice 3-D effect.

Anywhoo....I've received money, comic books, pencils and those little plastic toy soldiers.
