like someone said in another thread:
it's the end of the world.
floods in la, earthquakes in japan, volcanoes in wa., red sox (will) win the world series, cats & dogs living together, mass hysteria, etc. etc.

I live about a 1/2 mile where the 2 big rigs crashed on the 5 fwy South at Glendale Blvd. That has created a traffic nightmare for the whole San Fernando Valley.

I got on the Glendale Blvd onramp for the 5 north and saw the big rig to the side of the freeway. The truck was split open and they were pulling out the contents, whatever they were.

Wasn't that a stinking mess? I got caught up in that a little this morn. I jumped off and got on the 101 instead.

The mother of all traffic jams. Ended up taking the 134 and exiting Hollywood Way. Also saw the backup off of the 2, guess everyone was trying to go around. How did that trailer get split open like that? Looked like a scene from Jurrasic Park.

I believe the 'skin' of the trailer is pretty thin, because I've seen that happen in other accidents.

We've been getting so much rain around here that my back yard had some flooded areas. But this is Portland so I'm used to it.

That reminded me of the DVDTalk thing with Geoff, when the meteorologist said she liked The Day After Tomorrow because there were tornadoes in Cali.

It just finished hailing here in Glendale. It had looked like it was going to clear up, but the radar shows a big band of rain passing thru the valley right now.

Lots of thunder in Studio City. Was raining pretty hard for a bit. Still extremely overcast.

Well you know how it is. Us SoCal folk totally freak out on the road in weather like this. We drive like we've never seen rain and shit.

Just saw pics of the water spouts. Quite impressive. Now if the La Brea Tar Pits would just start smoking...

I love rainy shitty weather like this. Especially late at night.

I went to Redondo Beach last night about 1a and just sat and listened to the rain hit my Durango roof and I watched the waves. It was very relaxing. Then I went to Hermosa Beach around Pier ave and it was wonderfully wet. I also drove through through big puddles for shits and giggles.

Now if my fellow Californians would just not drive like idiots when it rains, all would be good.

I miss Redondo... grew up there.

Anywho, yeah, it's been fun with all the wetness. We're between bands right now. I haven't had any problems with flooding or wacky drivers... yet

It seemed to be a little off and on. I was hoping for more of what we had last time. It was neat then.
