I don't feel the need for soft drinks anymore...Yay!

Last month I was in the hospital for 6 days where drinks were just water and coffee (with the meals). Sure there were machines with soft drinks but I never thought about that.

When I get released I go home and get a glass of Pepsi with my dinner. To my surprise I was disgusted with the Pepsi (like I had 5 spoons of sugar forced down my throat) and I never looked back!

Right now in my fridge I got V8 and water, that's it. I guess my hospital stay de-toxified me from those evil sugar demons

It's just weird, like I'm on a "natural" high or something...

Anyway, just wanted to share with you guys.

Are any of you soft drink addicts?

I've said that before. You'll come back, everyone does. Don't fight the dark side. Come to the Pepsi.

I hear Pepsi drinkers also drink their own urine. Sickos.

I can't come back to Pepsi, it's like a surreal sugar rush I don't need anymore (so far)

Crack or heroin would be an option. I'm not too keen on giving fellatio (this is not the mature forum after all) to strangers in back alleys to get my fix!

But I would lose weight and look like Kate Moss!!

That's why you should stick to hard drinks.

The last time I used hard liquor and beer I went to jail (in 1989)... For beating up a guy in a Camaro who ignored a red light and almost hit my friend...

While justified my plead was ignored by the officers who arrested me ( I gave the Camaro driver a broken nose, 3 broken ribs and a broken arm) and had plenty of time to think while in a jail cell...

Somehow I stopped drinking after that incident; I get the odd pang once in a while but I can handle it

What an idiot I was!

Eh, you'll be back to drinking it in no time. They always come back for that sweet, sweet caffeine. Don't believe me? Just watch.

Preferred drink Coca Cola.

Congrats! I haven’t had a sugar soft drink in 5 years. Although last time I was in the hospital when my doctor approved me for a “normal” diet, I was allowed to write in on the food menu any soft drink or juice, even espresso if I wanted it.
