Star Wars geeks: I need your help.

Does anyone know where people get those Star Wars costumes (Darth Vader, Storm Troopers, etc.) that look exactly like the real suits used in the movies?

If you would search Google you would find the answer.

I'm currently doing that, but it's flooded with how-to guides on making your own. I want to buy one.

Have you tried an up-scale costume shop? It might cost you some serious cash but that's the only place I can think of.

There aren't too many places that sell complete cosutmes like the ones your looking for, and the ones that do charge quite a bit of $$.

Most people make them, thus all the how too sites.

You should try browsing the Star Wars fan community forums for your area over at theforce.net (they are divided by region, then broken down by city). You'll certainly find members of the 501st (huge nationwide group of Star Wars fans that are into costuming among other things) that could help you with what your looking for.

I'm a Stormtrooper in the 501st (Florida Garrison). You should head on over to your local garrison site and contact the GML (Garrison Membership Liason) there, Tami Ashford. I know you just asked about the suit, but you really get more fun out of it if you join up and a lot of help in putting it together. BTW, once you've added the bells and whistles, Stormtrooper armor runs about a grand.

Damn, looking up some of these costume sites, the member base must be pretty extensive... they have a memorial page with a handful of people! think of how many people DVD Talk has, and how many have not died!
