Bose car suspension system

All the UK car magazines have had articles on this in the last couple of weeks

It seems rather impressive

I can see it now. You will be able to flash the suspension control unit (SCU) and turn your econobox into a ghetto bouncer.

He should be comparing his system to existing active suspension systems (air springs and electronically controlled variable orifice shocks) not to classic mechanical spring/shock systems. The question is cost effectiveness and ride quality vs other active suspensions, not the purely mechanical systems in econo-boxes.

sounds interesting...wonder how it works in reality. and the cost. like olddude said, the comparison doesn't really mean much.

Their whitepaper is a joke. No information at all.

They say it requires 1/3 the power of an air conditioner. Thats a lot!

And as far as I can tell, they are running the split screen video comparisons at different speeds (and thus ran the cars at different speeds through the salom course). Watch the drivers turn-in speed on the steering wheel. BOSE is going much slower, so of course there won't be as much roll.

Whatever... looks pretty cool to me. I hate bose, but I'd love to get a car with this installed.
