Good way to build a bankroll...

this guy offers a good way for a newb to get a decent bankroll... I have done it as well as several friends so it's legit. I have no affiliation.

Cool link... Unfortunately, I have a Party account. Wonder if you could just do the first two links and stop there?

Cool link. I don't do the OL thing, so this seems like a good chance to get in to it.

It says that you can.
The deals for each of these sites are all available independently of the others. For example, say you already have an account at Pacific, while you aren't eligible for that bonus, you can still take advantage of the other two.
However, maybe I am missing something, but they say you get $180 for a $20 deposit, but I don't see it.

Pacific Poker: dep $20, get a 20% bonus ($4) and a $60 bonus.
Paradise poker: dep $50, get a 20% bonus ($10), and a $50 bonus.
Party Poker: dep $50, get a $25 bonus, and $15 bonus.

You have to deposit $120 total, and the total in bonuses from their site is only $125 (the other bonuses come from the poker sites).

On the pacific poker, it says this: Please read through the terms and conditions to see the playthrough requirements of this bonus.

So what are they conditions?

It does seem kind of steep. If I am reading it properly, then for a $10 bonus, you would have to wager a combined total of $200.00. I presume this would include a cumulation of total $ invested in each pot, whether you win or lose. So at a $.50/$1.00 limit it would probably take somewhere around 50-100 hands?

Same thing for me, I sent the manager of online poker an email stating this and still got the $60.

Sweet deal, and now I'm hooked on Pacific Poker as well.

Oops... forgot to come back here and update that I did manage to get my $60.00 as well. I ended up just emailing Pacific poker support and getting an email with my deposit information.

My initial $20 deposit netted me a $5 deposit bonus and an unknown $10 bonus. So for $20, I made $15 - in addition to the $60. Pretty Sweet.

As for Pacific Poker, I am finding it quite enjoyable. I've been playing mainly at the $.05/$.10 tables and have found it to be better than the $.50/$1.00 tables at Party. Fewer people limping with complete garbage (although Ax is always played). In addition, quite a few players fold to preflop raises, unless the raiser has a habit of doing this. There are still usually 6-8 players in on the flop, but I had expected to see no less than 10 everytime. After the flop, most players seem reasonably intelligent and not overly aggressive, unless it is warranted.

The only drawback is the steep bonus requirements that require you to wager 20x the bonus amount before it is released for cash out. So even for my paltry $5 deposit bonus, I have to wager $100.00 before being able to cash out. That's a lot of hands at the $.05/$.10 limit

For those on Pacific, my username is Spy021. Perhaps we'll bump into each other.

I'm trying this out with Pacific Poker right now.

So far I really hate the Pacific Poker software, it moves too fast and it has a really cold and impersonal feel to it after using Poker Stars for so long.

BTW: I finally got that $20 bonus out of poker stars. It was bitter sweet though, I ended up about -10 overall after the bonus, I was up decently but I've had about the worst day ever in my short poker life. Yesterday/Friday were a couple of my best days ever. That's poker.

So I cashed out on Poker Stars and I'm giving this a shot, but I really don't like it. I've played a couple of cheap Sit N Go's and, it's nice they are a cheap but I just can't get used to this system and for some reason my luck from Poker Stars has followed me to Pacific Poker also.

BTW is there any reason why Pacific Poker only emailed me about my First Deposit Bonus and nothing else? I hope this works toward getting the $60

Out of Poker Stars, Paradise Poker and Pacific Poker, Poker Stars is by far and away the best. Best interface. Easiest to bet and raise. I will not play any other site.

Party/Empire Poker isn't bad, it has its strong suits compared to Poker Stars, but Poker Stars is overall better.

I've heard that Poker Stars and Paradise have the toughest competition overall, while Party and Empire seem to have the most inexperienced players. However, I've played on quite a few of these sites - although not all were real money accounts, and find that once I get use to the software it's business as usual. While I realize that having a user friendly interface really helps, I don't see it being a huge deal for a game like poker. As long as I know which button is to bet, raise, call, check, and fold I'm usually good. Granted I don't really take advantage of all the other quick buttons like "Fold to any bet or Call Any" as I feel it can give observant players information on how I play.

The biggest gripe I have with Pacific is the fact that they do not offer hand history that I can import into Poker Tracker to review. I do like some of the stat tracking features from other sites, but I find that I can usually gather most of that information myself just watching an orbit or two before jumping into a game.
