Those are pretty neat. Any reason you didn't go with the Xa Scion?

We already own a toaster.

OH, MAN!!!

Just Kidding, Trigger!

...actually, we sat in one while we were waiting and they are very comfortable, but Treesa really thinks they look like a toaster and not very aerodynamic, and she really wanted the Matrix.

The one in the picture isn't the fully loaded one like ours is, but it is the same color. It has those fly-eye multi-colored speckle things in the paint, and when the sun hits it, it's BEAUTIFUL!!!

It's really a very nice, brand new, 2005 model, and has more power and room than our Corolla with 125 Hp did.

I was wondering why everyone was looking so tiny in my rear-view mirror, and driving so slow, until I looked at the speedometer, and saw that I was doing like 60 in a 35 mile zone...without even realizing it...and IN GLENDALE of all places!!!

...and I figure it's a step up. Maybe just a baby step, but a step none the less. Besides, we don't want to spend a lot of money on a car, and we've long grown out of the "show-off" stage, so a Toyota Matrix is just the right car at the right time, for us!

THEEK!

Neat car. Is it an auto or manual?

Given that they are the same car, I think I prefer the Vibe.

Still, good choice IMO.

Why is that? You could save a little up front, but you would lose it on resale.

wouldn't the resale be more important if you planned on keeping it for only 3-4 years?

yes, that's why THEEK made a good choice getting the Toyota.

seems like 3 pontiacs hold very low resale values, whereas the Matrix holds it's value pretty well:

I definitely agree this over the Vibe though, resale value or not.

Even though it is the exact same car? Retail value doesn't mean shit unless you plan on selling your car before you can pay it off.

Don't you hate using the quick reply box, and then hitting the wrong button and losing your post?

Speaking of muscle cars--while it's not what you typically think of, I'd love to learn to restore cars from the ground up and then do so to a late 70s model Olds. Cutlass Supreme. I owned a real POS one years ago, but I loved that car. It was the absolute most comfortable vehicle I have ever been in.
