when you hear a girl say "Am I Fat?"

what should one say?

"the real answer or what you want to hear" ?

what are comforting words?

"you gained some weight i see?"

When girls say "do these clothes make me look fat?" my favorite would-be answer is "no, it's the fat that makes you look fat"

You know, I've never actually had a woman ask me that.

I think it's a "sitcom/comedian" thing only and doesn't actually occur in real life very often. It's a particularly stupid thing to say.

Tell her the truth. She'll appreciate your honesty.

You're right in a way, but they do say, "I'm getting fat." or "These pants make me look fat." and other statements that they expect you to strongly disagree with.

Not necessarily true. I'll say things like that because they're true and I'm suddenly noticing it. It's a shock thing. You may want to grab a blanket to wrap the girl in and be prepared to call 911 just in case it is shock.

Remind me if I ever find myself lucky enough to be in a relationship with a girl to take before pictures so I can show it to her after I kick her ass to the curb.

I'm adorable aren't I?

You gotta address the insecurity that made her ask the question, not the question itself. My wife once asked me if her clothes made her look fat. I grinned and told her "yep." She hit me. But she never asked me that question again.

"Honey does this dress make me look fat?"

"No dear...it is the fat that makes you look fat."

Make sure you are wearing a good cup after making that crack...

You could try this...

"am I fat?"

"compared to what?"

I've found that girls who are "feeling fat" are less likely to get naked in front of me. Perhaps saying "yeah you are" isn't the best choice... unless you and your hand are close friends.

I have found that girls in general are just simply less likely to get naked in front of me...unless I pay them...

Remember a lapdance is better when the stripper is crying.

I really have to laugh when someone asks me if a certain item of clothing makes them look fat, because the only real honest answer you can give is the one that all the comedians use.

"Does this shirt make me look fat?"

"No, it's the extra 20 pounds you are carrying around".

BTW, I had a very similar conversation with my fiance yesterday, although I hedged the answer a bit
