DISCLAIMER: "The Like" isn't any special ocassion but rather a figure of speech for those of you that may not know.
_________________________________________

I NEVER feel obligated giving gifts, EVER...and I LOVE doing it...well except around those "TIMES"... &

...and let me tell ya, I don't like it ONE BIT, and I've been burnin' the midnight oil, trying to find ways to get around it, like maybe givin' early, but NAW!!! Then I feel obligated giving early...OH HECK.

How can't you feel obligated giving gifts around those "TIMES"?

It's like TRADITION!!!

traditions of men

WHY DO I FEEL THIS WAY ABOUT THOSE "TIMES"???

WHAT AM I GONNA DO???

What do you do?

Do you feel obligated to give gifts around those, you know...

"TIMES"?

TIMES IS SUCK!!! &

THEEK!

I give gifts to two close friends, my immediate family (parents, stepparents, siblings), and my paternal grandparents. I'll usually give a token something to aunts/uncles if I'm stuck exchanging gifts in a large group, but I don't bother for birthdays.

I buy immediate family birthday and christmas gifts. I request that no gifts are bought for me.

I think gift giving should be a spontaneous thing, not so scripted.

I feel EXACTLY the same way, but around those scripted "TIMES" of which I speak, it seems almost unavoidable!!!

Almost Hell...

It IS UNAVOIDABLE!!!

Unless of course I pull a "Scrooge" and leave the country! &

TEK!

I buy gifts for everyone. It is a madhouse during Christmas buying for my immediate family, my ladyfriends, all the aunt, uncles, cousins and anybody visiting. Good thing I usually get a nice Christmas bonus to help offset the costs.

No. This should be a poll.

Quite frankly, I feel lucky if I get an e-card.

Yes, I will.

But first I've gotta tell Treesa.

Good thing I live in Oregon.

Of course, this will have to be a marriage of convenience as I don't pitch or catch.

I don't request that no gifts be bought for me, but I never make a list. If someone asks me what I want, I'll usually say "clothes" since I'd rather slit my wrists in a warm bathtub than go clothes shopping.
