what to get for my godchildren for baptism?

looking for a gift. i have a niece and a nephew both being baptized (we're catholic so they are less than 2 months old).

the girl is 1/2 of a twin (other one is a girl) and the boy is 1/3 of the triplts (all boys) so i want to get something that the other godparents (either the godfather or the other set(s) of godparetns will not be buying. i was thinking of a noah's ark blanket or wall haning--somethign religious but not overly and still usable. any other ideas?

Actually, so what if they are young. A special leather bound or similar bible for the future with a personal inscription sounds like a great idea.

That is something they will hopefully use a lot in life and remember you every time fondly.

Hey K!

Here's one (and here's another) Baptism gift page that may help you to make a decision!

TEK!

Since this is a religious thread, I won't tell you to get them naked picture of their godmother on the internet....but I won't tell you not to, either.

Actually, I think Jesus is fine with baby drool, so I would go with the above. (the bible, not my idea)

So your the godmother?? Just ask the godfather what he is getting. I would say a gold cross or gold chain. or even a set of earings for the girl. you could even get them a medal of one of their Saints.

Simple gold cross with chain will always work...since thier so young, it will be the only piece of jewlery they own, so every special occasion will have them wearing it...as they grow older, especially the girl, the small cross will take on semental value, something they've always owned...you will be remembered as the one that gave it to them...they shouldnt be too expensive, since its for a small child, were talking tiny and just above paper thin at the entry level.

i had several people at work mention the jewelry thing but since they are less than 2 months old, i am going to wait since it will be awhile before they could use them.

oddly enough, i found tons of ideas by googling baptism gifts. whodathunkit?

thanks for the suggestions guys!
