Do they make this kind of table?

I need a table that will swing over to my lap while I am on the couch. Yes, I am that lazy.

Actually, I want something for a wireless keyboard and mouse, and it seems like something like this would work nicely.

I have one like the bottom one, but don't want a coffee table. The one in the first pic is close. Thanks.

Check out Scooter, Reader's Table, and LapDesk on this page.

Their stuff is a little expensive but is good. I have a Lapdesk and like it. I rest it on the arms' of an easy chair. One of the others might work better for a sofa.

Actually this sounds like what he was describing.

The "laplander" thing may be able to work. Interesting.

Do you mean like an end table or like a coffee table? I've seen coffee tables where the table can split to move up to the couch, instead of raising the whole table like that one above.

I guess what I'm asking is you want it to swing over to the couch, but swing over from *where*?

End table, where something would swing over to where I sit, so that "out front" is still clear.

That looks good, but isn't that the "phantom" keyboard? I think it is one piece, so it wouldn't work for me.

I think La-Z-Boy used to make a chair called the ecliner or something like that which had a fold out table for a laptop, phone jacks, and surge protector built in.
