I'm gonna get hit by a hurricane!

Well, Tampa is at least. We haven't had a real hurricane here since 1986. Supposed to hit sometime from tomorrow night until Friday afternoon. Winds will be around 105mph when it hits . Someone hold me.

That would be some headline: "Quake hit by Hurricane."

Keep safe.

Sounds better than Alien vs Predator. I hope there's a movie.

I'm sick of them showing the weather reports and people running around home depot. Maybe it makes sense to freak out in Tampa, but I'm outside of Melbourne and it seems excessive.

You know, I'm actually really really surprised no one has made a movie like that.

that would be cool, they could find a new fault line under florida and we could break off into the ocean and ram Cuba.

The local Boston news showed the path of the hurricane. They had it going through Massachusetts on Sunday. I'm sure the local Home Depots are grateful for their early forecast.

By the time it gets to Mass., the only possible risk will be flooding. Down here in Northern VA, where both Bonnie and Clyde... Err, Charlie are going to pass within a hair of, there's little risk of wind damage. For everyone except Florida to South/North Carolina, the biggest threats are flooding and the possible risk of a tornado or two.

I didn't realize Tampa hasn't been hit directly this since 86. Anyway, have fun riding the storm out. At least after it's over, you can go out and buy one of the many "I survived hurricane Charley... And all I got was this lousy t-shirt" shirts that'll pop up by the weekend.

Yeah the last time we had a real hurricane was Elena and I think that was 86 or 87.

I'm glad to be on the east coast, although I should see some interesting weather too. Stay safe over there, quake.
