How I met The Love of my Life.

I for one never had much trouble getting girls and throughout my life I pretty much always had a girlfriend. But, like with too much of anything, I started to get really tired of dating and sleeping around, and so in my weariness, I finally asked God to please give me JUST ONE GIRL. Just One special woman, for the rest of my life.

And so I stopped dating, and started writing a letter a day (like in a notepad diary of sorts) to the Lord about "her".

Now I didn't know who this "she" would be, but I figured I could trust the Lord with that and so I stopped looking and focused my life on work and pretty much put dating & sex out of my mind.

I was DJ-ing at a fairly decent and fun dance gig on a regular (monthly) basis in Glendale way back in 1979. There were always a ton of girls at the dances, and for a couple years I always saw this girl named Theresa there with her girlfriends. She loved to dance and it showed because really knew how to shake that groove thang!

Like with many of the girls at the dances I did, I got to know her as a casual friend or acquaintance, you know, a "Hi" and a kiss here, & a "Good-bye" and a kiss there (...for one reason or another, the girls always were kissin' on me! ), but there was never anything more than that.

Now don't get me wrong, she was really very cute and all, but I was busy spinning records & controlling the lights and, besides I really & truly meant what I said about dating and basically concentrated on my job.

Well, after 9 months of no dating & asking the the Lord for my #1 girl, one night at the very same Glendale gig, I saw Treesa again in the midst of all the other people & girls dancing there (not unlike the previous months before), but this time for some reason, I took a double-take, and after rubbing my eyes, I REALLY SAW HER, like for the first time, so I got her phone number and I started calling her.

We talked for two weeks everynight on the phone for hours and hours (and hours), and made the decision to be together "Forever" right there on the phone! The next Glendale dance we met each other and I kissed her for the first time! It. Was. WONDERFUL!!!

...and the rest is History! That was some 24 years ago, and she's still the one and only #1 girl in my life!

Not only does she work 8 hours a day, but when we gets home she actually takes time-out and rubs my shoulders and my feet, and after dinner and playin' on the PC or listening to music and slow dancin' right there in our living room, we lay down in bed to watch movies and eat snacks and she scratches my back and my head for HOURS, all the way until sweet, sweet sleepy-bye time!

What more can I say? She is the absolutely MOST WONDERFUL WOMAN IN THE WORLD TO ME.

To say she "Loves" me is an understatement. They haven't invented a word to describe the magnitude of Love that she has for me.

I for one am a truly blessed man, and I thank God everyday for answering my prayer and for giving me such an incredible "gift". It's a moment by moment privilege for me just to be with her.

Whatever she wants, she's got it! Whatever she needs, she's got it!

She is without a doubt "The Love of my Life!"

Well, that's my story! Now it's your turn!

How did you meet the Love of your life?

THEEK!

I met my wife the old-fashioned way - drunk at a party.

You know, the usual. I tried to get her to go with me to see the chalk outline of a girl who had been murdered a couple of days before next to the apartment complex. At first she was scared of me because she thought that I might be the killer.

No sweet, sweet sexy time? Or is that what you meant by "scratching the head"

Hmmm... that's doen't sound right. You''ve been saying how lonely you're lately... is this before or after you climb the ladder w/ a chainsaw and dropped it on her neck while trimming tree branches?

I'll answer both questions but only under the advisement of my Lawyer.

First Question Answer: I'm only lonely when I'm without her.

Second Question Answer: Before and After.

Oh, okay CK...I see what your little claws are digging at!

I wasn't gonna say what "I" did for Treesa because that's like being "Humble & Proud" of it, and besides, I wanted to give Tree all the credit.

And now from the "BLOW MY OWN HORN DEPARTMENT":

OF COURSE I do the same things that she does for me, AND EVEN MORE, and over the last 24 years, we've shared responsibilities and taken very, Very, VERY good care of eachother.

So, while I may indeed be "in-between" careers (as it were), and Treesa does her "Executive" thing, I am not just sitting idle & "Work-less" by ANY means!

NO WAY!!!

You see, I've been spending time getting in touch with my "feminine side" (even to the extent of experiencing "Man-o-pause", complete with full blown Hot Flashes ), and to keep me busy until my next "Big Adventure", I've been splitting my roles of being a "dude" and a:

"HOUSE FRAU!!!"

There! I said it!

But seriously...That's right!

I AM A HOUSE FRAU!!!

(OH! THE FREEDOM!!! )

!!!I'M COMMING OUT!!!

Actually, I do ALL the things that a House Frau does regarding a House Frau's work. (and even MORE! )

Some of my chores include (but are not limited to): Cooking & Cleaning, Washing Clothes, etc...AND I LOVE IT!!!

And we all know that a House Frau's work is NEVER done, Right?

There isn't many women out there that would say that what a House Frau does isn't work, is there?

I'M A HOUSE FRAU! I'M PROUD! GET USED TO IT!!!

& &

THEEK FRAU!

My parents moved to Sacramento (Elk Grove to be exact) when I went away to college. When I came home to visit I would go to their church and that is where I met Jill.

Jill would not give me the time of day...we went out on dates but she didn't want anything...not just from me, from anybody. Her focus was soccer and school (she was a JR in HS my frosh year of college). So I did my own thing...I was pretty much a pervert in college and she knows. I would even call her with my problems. We developed a very close friendship...not "a couple" yet although her friends pressured the crap out of her...I was having fun though.

Finally, about 3 weeks after she graduated HS she left for a national soccer tournament (she played in college and went on to play semi-pro and was invited to try-out with the CyberRays of the WUSA pro league) in Washington. She called me from there and at the end of the call she told me she loved me! I was stoked but had no clue what to do.

It tooks us about 4 months just to hold hands after she got back because we were such good friends and didn't want to ruin anything. after we held hands it took us what felt like the same amount of time just to kiss. we did the long distance thing (SDSU and UofA) during college and remained a couple throughout.

damn, even our engagement took 2 years. we have been married 4 years, july 15...still no kids

anyway, i always was a fast mover with girls and wasn't always faithful to Jill while we were in college (dont worry, she knows and knew all about it...part of the reason she took everything very slow with me i guess. i became a good boy eventually.).

i believe the reason everything worked out the way it has is because she made me wait! and she waited for me to grow up. we built a relationship the "unhollywood" way. We built a relationship before the sexual stuff came into it. It seems most people (including myself before i met jill) like to do the sexual first and then see if they can have a relationship after...i dont think it works too well.

anyway...thats the story of how i met my wife and how we were married.

Well, I've been in touch with my feminine side for quite some time now. &

Actually, I am very secure with my sexuality (Hetro) and can joke around about being "Gay" or whatnot anytime I want (for a laugh), AND I DO!

I kinda see it like Milton Berle doing his drag thing in a dress.

I mean, I would do that in a New York Minute if it would make somebody smile!
So do u still get down on the 1&2's anymore? DJ THEEK in full effect
Nope. I gave that up a few years ago. Heck I did it for like DECADES!!!

I'm pretty much spun out.

But I could easily do an old school jam! Just give me the 12" singles and get outta my way!
