question for all married people

Where do the majority of you eat? i heard from krkuhl that men tend to eat over the kitchen sink without plates...

For us, breakfast is on the go, the wife eats quickly in the kitchen before she leaves, I eat in my office after she leaves. Lunch we are apart... she eats at work (i make her lunch every day in the morning), I eat in my office if i'm busy or watching letterman (tivo) on the couch for a half hour. Once a week I meet her at work and we go get Subway. Dinner we always eat together... probably 4 nights in the kitchen (we have an island with stools you can sit at) 1 night on the couch (if there's something tivo'd that we're dying to watch), a night outside on the patio if the weather is nice enough, and one night a week we go out.

So lets hear it--where do you consume your wonderful husband/wife cuisine? (that sounds dirtier in this thread for some reason, although it should really be the opposite)

If I eat breakfast at all, it's over the sink. Lunch at my desk, mostly. Dinner at the table with the family most nights.

Breakfast at my desk at work during the week.. At the kitchen table on the weekend with the family...

Lunch could be at my desk, in a conference room, or at a restaurant during the week. At the kitchen table, at the patio table or at a restraurant on weekends.

Dinner is at the kitchen table, dining room table, patio table or at a restaurant.

I seem to like patio much better than my wife and eat out there as much of three seasons as weather permits, she does only on "perfect" days in summer. Most of the rest of the time at kitchen table. Dining room is for company or special occasions.

Breakfast... usually I eat a bowl of cereal while reading the news on my computer. She eats watching news on TV.

I work at night so we eat lunch together. Most often its couch, coffee table and Tivo. I think we only ever use our nice dining room table when we have guests.

Usually at the dining room table (except for lunch: at work at my desk). To be honest, I have almost never eaten over the kitchen sink. I thought that was just a stereotype.

If we eat dinner at home, we usually do it w/ the help of tv trays. We rarely use our dining room table - it's usually covered in mail or something else.

I eat breakfast in front of the tv, too.

Lunch at my desk or out and about.

Dinner at the dining room table--take turns cooking. No TV on that floor.

Lunch we're not both here. Breakfast I bring some hardboiled eggs and V8 to work, she doesn't eat it. Weekends, we tend to eat lunch together. Breakfast, Saturday separately, Sunday usually together (she often makes something for Sunday breakfast--I suck, I never do).

i have always eaten at the kitchen table. Some times i'll have a cup of coffee in the kitchen (or a sandwich because the cats will try to atttack me for food) but i try to always sit down and have a normal meal no matter how little i eat.

Yeah... patio's don't nag as much, but they've never done the dishes either.

I enjoy eating on the patio when there aren't bees around, but lately they've driven us indoors more often than not. I guess I need to do something about that because we both enjoy eating out there.

If it's a nicer dinner, we'll eat at the dining table. Otherwise we're in the living room watching Tivo.

We always eat at the kitchen table for all three meals (even snacks). I guess I'm old fashioned.

We generally eat at the kitchen counter. Occasionally we'll eat breakfast in front of the computer. Maybe once a month we'll eat in front of the TV, while watching a movie.

Regarding the other thread, where single people all eat in front of the computer or television: Doesn't anybody read while they eat anymore?

I usually 'multitask' (eat dinner while sitting on the can taking a dump). Time is too valuable. crap i just remembered the amazing race was on last night.

We sit and have coffee together at the DR table before work. She and I both have breakfast at our desks later (meal replacement bars, usually). Lunch for me is going out with my posse (two cow-orkers of mine) to a nearby eatery, for my wife it's usually tupperwared leftovers. Supper is whatever I cook served family-style at the DR table. No dinner in front of the TV permitted unless one is home alone.

Dinner is either at the coffee table in front of the t.v., or outside on the back deck. Depends on the weather.

However, since we got our dog in June, we've been bringing our dinner to area parks quite a bit.

breakfast is usually at work for both of us, we eat lunch with each other at least 4 days a week and dinner is at the kitchen table or on the living room floor picnic style on pizza night.

Breakfast: don't eat it
Lunch: rarely eat it... when I do it's in the break room at work
Dinner: no "regular" place.
1. Dinner table with the wife (2/3 days a week)
2. Restaurant (1/2 days a week)
3. Couch at a friends house (1/2 days a week)
4. My couch while playing video games (1/2 days a week)
