Favorite ice cream?

Do you have a favorite ice cream? If so, what kind?

I do...and I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't tried it. Dryer's Pumpkin ice cream. It is a seasonal flavor, and I first had it last year. I've been waiting all year for it to return, and it is finally back in stores. Their Pumpkin ice cream tastes almost exactly like Pumpkin pie, except for in ice cream form.

The stuff is to die for. I have already gone through about 4 quarts of the stuff in the past week. It doesn't help any that the local supermarket has it on sale for two 1.75 quart containers for $6.

I still have a full container out back in our large freezer, and about half a container in the freezer in the house.

I don't understand why it is only a seasonal thing. I go through about two months of withdrawals before it fades into just a pleasant memory...and then the viscious circle begins again around the beginning of October.

All that matters is my pumpkin ice cream fix. At least I have enough to hold me over for a couple days. The store was actually out when I went on Saturday.

Edited: This is what I'm talking about!

According to the Dryer's website, it is only available September and October...!?!?!

I lived in South America for a couple of years and they had pineapple ice cream which was most excellent. I haven't seen any pineapple ice cream here in the States though.

Ben & Jerry's Chubby Hubby.

Vanilla malt ice cream. Fudge swirls. Peanut butter swirls. Chocolate covered, peanut butter-filled mini-pretzels.

Oh, yes.

I concur. I wish it came in the round half gallon containers though. Only because it feels wrong to spend so much on the rectangular half gallon cartons.

Green Tea ice cream...

Also, my quasi-local dairy Braums (only 300+ stores!) has Eggnog ice cream around the holidays, and also eggnog shakes (made with the nog ice cream and the nog milk they sell.)

That is some insanely good stuff too.

One of my friends bought some just because of the name and it turned out everyone liked it.

Just a plain ol' Haagen Dazs Chocolate man. If I'm feeling saucy, I'll get Vanilla Fudge.

Honk!
