3 Doors Down frontman Brad Arnold Dead at 47

From Kidney Cancer.

Underrated band with a ton of catchy hits.

Too young.

Fuck Cancer.

:rip: Saw them live a number of times. Way too young.

Sucks that he passed. Still the worst concert I’ve ever seen.

I really enjoyed their music back in the early 2000s. Weird that I never knew that he was the drummer as well as the singer. Videos of them doing Here Without You in the rain and with Sara Evans come up in my social media feeds pretty often, and he is never behind the drum kit. Always out front singing. Looking into it further, it looks like they hired a drummer for the tours to keep Brad out front.

This was back in fall of 02. I think they were doing a campus tour with Nappy Roots and came to Auburn. Nappy Roots opened and were awesome. 3 Doors Down came out and I don't know if they were drunk or sick or just not into it but I remember they sounded sloppy, the singer kept bitching about the lack of enthusiasm from the crowd, and the show overall was pretty boring. Some drunk guy near me kept screaming "play the fucking superman song" and after they played Kryptonite like half the arena cleared out. My buddies working security said they were also pain in the asses and horrible to work with. On the flipside they said Nappy Roots were the nicest dudes and invited them on their bus to smoke weed with them (they declined since we were all in Navy ROTC and had to do piss test). Could have been a one off but I've still never seen a worse concert and I've been to alot.
