OTOH, their live versions of Pride (In The Name Of Love) and nearly all of the songs on The Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby albums are not as good as their studio versions.

Go back to the place where the music began.
Bono & The Edge: A Sort of Homecoming with Dave Letterman, an Original documentary special, is streaming March 17 on #DisneyPlus.
U2’s Bono and the Edge make a return to Dublin with Dave Letterman, reflecting on their journey as musicians and friends.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing that ...
In addition to the other artists shown in the 'Songs you like or love' thread, Bono & The Edge appeared on Spectacle as well. They performed a mashup of Pump It Up / Get On Yer Boots with Costello & The Imposters and an acoustic version of Stay (Faraway, So Close), the latter of which feels very much in the spirit of the A Sort Of Homecoming trailer ...

Stay (Faraway, So Close) is low-key one of my favorite songs of theirs, along with Ultraviolet (Light My Way). Both are absolutely brilliant compositions.

Agreed. I'd add Walk On, Red Hill Mining Town, One Tree Hill, Bad, and '40' to that, as well.

I don't get why that U2 special is not on Netflix when Letterman has a series on Netflix?

Rumor is that the dates and ticket announcements are coming tomorrow, Pre-sale starting Wednesday and general sales starting Friday. Apparently it will be Friday and Saturday shows, with the possibility of adding Wednesday night shows if ticket sales are robust. Dates look like October and November for now

I am shocked that they only announced two weekends, 5 shows. They have the vebmnue blocked out every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday night in October and November. Figured they'd announce a bunch of dates. Maybe they are just going to roll this out slowly. Can't believe they would take a Super Bowl ad out for a five night engagement.

Do we have to change our Verified Fan Registration? Or are we able to buy tickets to any show if available?

Re: U2 "Achtung Baby" Vegas shows
The fan club presale requires you to resubmit a new request only if you want one of the new dates. I don't think this affects the verified fan sale. But if you are spending a grand, spending another $50 for the fan club makes more sense

Re: U2 "Achtung Baby" Vegas shows
I go to a lot of shows, I recently bought $300 tickets to 3 different shows this past week. When placing the order for the U2 tickets for the fan presale, there are several checkboxes before you could submit your order request, one of which is that if your card is denied, you will not get tickets. For some reason, my citi card decided to decline this purchase. I have to wonder if it was clearly marked as coming from Ticketmaster (which should look like a normal purchase habit for me) or if some advanced software at the bank detected hundreds of these orders being placed at one time across many accounts, and flagged them all. Regardless, my chances of my order going through is very low at this point even though I notified them that this was not fraudulent within a couple minutes of the notification. I would have ended up with 2 GA floor tickets for $500 which wasn't a terrible price, I was actually worried about getting the first level seats which would have cost more than $1000 for the pair.
