I've been on a 80's thrash metal kick at work today: Sentinel Beast "Depths of Death", Detente "Recognize No Authority" and Destruction "Infernal Overkill". Next up, probably Voivod "Killing Technology", that's a good one.

Got this today. 5 discs for one of my top ten albums of all time. This will probably tide me over for new music until April.

I might change my mind if I see this discounted down the road.

First major prog releases of the year for me:
ID.Entityfrom Riverside
and Hymns for Hungry Spirits Vol II from Great Wide Nothing:
Both really good records, but I gotta say Great Wide Nothing's album has more of my attention

If you like the album then the remix is a must have, IMO. The two outtakes discs and the one with the Bootleg Series tracks compiled together is also fantastic. The live disc takes some getting used to due to the quality of the recordings.

I'm really enjoying the new album III from Caravela Escarlate, a Brazilian prog trio that pull their sound from Italian and British symphonic prog of the late-60s/70s but give it their own local flavor. The result is wonderful.
