The last two albums don't have one track that stand out to me. Maybe I haven't given 72 Seasons enough listens yet, I've listened to it 3 or 4 times so far but both sound generic and are my least favorite out of their catalog. There was a DVD included with the St. Anger special edition where they performed the complete album live in the studio which I prefer over their last 2 albums.They are all 60 yrs old and I think they're still cranking out this type of music just to please the fans and aren't making the music they'd prefer to make like Load / ReLoad, or the black album because they took so much shit for slowing down their sound and being called "sell-outs".

I respect the opinion but I have to disagree completely. I think they are making the music they want. Hardwired was full of the slower songs that you say they enjoy making. Inamorata on the new album is a callback to My Friend of Misery. St Anger was a complete mess from top to bottom because the band was a complete mess. I used to defend the album but I feel foolish for doing so. They were a horrible band with no direction at that moment. A few of the songs are decent and they've tried to salvage them through the live performances but it's pretty telling that they open up their no repeat setlist tour without playing a single song from the album.

I believe they don't play those songs because most people hate the album. I wasn't talking about the album itself though, I was talking about the live studio rehearsals from the DVD that came with the special edition. The versions of the songs on that are all superior than the album versions, especially with normal sounding drums and not the "tin can" sounding drums on the album.

I haven't put a lot of time into the new album, but I felt like Hardwired could have been a bridge between the black album and Load. The new album seems similar enough, but again, I've only listened to it a few times.

Why So Blu?

I just finished watching a clip on YT and some folks up in the nosebleeds say the sound sucks/sucked due to shitty placement of the line array speakers. The circular design of the stage and speaker placement is a nightmare.

Even with a standard layout, nosebleeds in stadiums generally have shitty sound. I saw Metallica and Guns N Roses back in 2016 at Mile High, and the sound would get dramatically worse as you went up the levels. For Metallica, I was on the floor, Guns N Roses in the first level. For both shows, I checked out the view/sound at each level, just to get an idea of what other people were experiencing. It could certainly be worse with the current layout, though. Pretty sure I got tickets in the first level for the shows in Phoenix.

Why So Blu?

The clip I watched was from a guy that saw two shows at MetLife Stadium in NJ. The first night he was in the nosebleeds and said the echoes/delay sucked. He went to the second show at a lower section and said it was much better. He also compared past shows like the Rammstein show and said that Rammstein did it right and offered comparison clips. The guy also says he's an audio engineer.
