I liked it. His voice is stronger than it was on the last album. Pre-ordered the CD along with the upcoming Neil Young earlier.

Listened to the soul album twice and, well, if you like Bruce Springsteen and you like soul this should be you're kinda' album but I think the hardcores will probably protest in the same way they did when he did the Seeger Sessions. Personally, I love when an artist experiments outside of what they are more known for and Bruce certainly has done that here.

I think he pulls it off, alright. As a cover album in the twilight of his career, it's pretty good and I was glad he mostly stuck to lesser known cuts. The backing vocalist and band are fantastic and I'd pay to see this side of him live (you know, just not $500 a ticket ).

The Springsteen / Howard Stern interview from Sirius will air on HBO tonight.

Whatever it was, it was an absolutely fantastic interview. I was transfixed for over 2 hours. Who knew The Boss was so nuerotic?

He's been a pretty open book in recent years between his autobiography, his Broadway show and the podcast series he did with Barack Obama.
Still I will check it out soon.

My wife is a huge fan of The Killers and my obsession with Bruce is well documented here by now. For a Christmas present, I bought this original 16 X 20 photo print from The Killers store, which I will get framed.

Thanks for the tip on the Bruce interview with Stern. I could listen to Bruce talk for hours (and have with his audiobook which I totally recommend).
Speaking of him and Stern, there's a great clip out there back in the 80s when Clarence was on the Stern show and they called Bruce's answering machine.

Opening night in Tampa. I watched most of the show through Facebook as some guy right behind the stage was streaming. A solid opening night, Bruce was a little less active in terms of going into the audience than in the past but the band hadn't been on stage in six years and he's 73 so that's to be expected. No signs allowed, at least last night. I'm seeing him on Sunday.
