Actually I have had a lot of success with Verified Fan. The only time I used that service and didn't get tickets was for Adele, which was a needle in a haystack, and got canceled anyways.
Maybe I will look into KC or Denver.
I wish he'd announced the whole US Tour so I could know if he's coming to town before deciding to travel.

For certain acts and markets, I'm sure it's great. But not this artist and not in my market. Actually, never in my market at all.

The reason I don't like it is because if you don't get selected, you're getting taken away the opportunity to even try. At least in the days of just refreshing the page at the onsale time you had a fighting chance. And I was usually successful then.

Re: Bruce Springsteen - Letter To You - 10/23/20

Full press release:

Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band will kick off their 2023 international tour with 31 performances across the United States; spanning from February 1 in Tampa, Florida through an April 14 homecoming in Newark, New Jersey before heading to Europe. The shows will mark Springsteen and The E Street Band's first tour dates since February 2017, and their first in North America since September 2016.

European dates for the 2023 international tour were announced in May and over 1.2 million tickets have already been purchased across the continent, with many cities adding second or third stadium shows due to popular demand. At the conclusion of their European run, which is scheduled for April through July 2023, Springsteen and The E Street Band will begin a second to-be-announced North American tour leg in August. Tour dates in the UK will also take place next year, with cities and shows to be announced very soon.

Tickets for the 2023 U.S. arena shows will go on sale over the course of the next two weeks, with the first onsale beginning Wednesday July 20 at 10am local time (full details below).

The tour will be using Ticketmaster's Verified Fan platform for tickets sold via Ticketmaster. Fans can register for Ticketmaster Verified Fan starting now through Sunday, July 17 for the chance to buy tickets. All registrants who are verified will be equally eligible to receive a unique access code for the Verified Fan Onsale. Registering does not guarantee you will receive a code, or have the ability to purchase tickets.

For shows utilizing Verified Fan, the Verified Fan Onsale will take place between 10am and 2pm local time. If tickets remain, a general onsale for all fans begins the same day at 3pm local time with no code required.

For the performances at the Toyota Center (Houston, TX), Wells Fargo Center (Philadelphia, PA), Barclays Center (Brooklyn, NY) and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse (Cleveland, OH), the general onsale will begin at 10am local time on their respective onsale dates with no Verified Fan code required.

To register for the Ticketmaster Verified Fan Onsale cities, visit https://verifiedfan.ticketmaster.com/springsteen

Springsteen and The E Street Band's most recent studio album, 2020's 'Letter To You' (Columbia Records), marked their first time recording live together in decades and debuted at #1 in eleven countries. Their most recent tour, The River Tour in 2016-2017, was named 2016’s top global tour by both Billboard and Pollstar.

The E Street Band's members are: Roy Bittan - piano, synthesizer; Nils Lofgren - guitar, vocals; Patti Scialfa - guitar, vocals; Garry Tallent - bass guitar; Stevie Van Zandt - guitar, vocals; and Max Weinberg - drums; with Soozie Tyrell - violin, guitar, vocals; Jake Clemons - saxophone; and Charlie Giordano - keyboards.

Why doesn't he play The Forum? I hear it's like everyone's favorite venue to play for some reason (like acoustics or something).
I love that official Live Release. Probably the Tunnel of Love Express Tour show I listen to the most.

I am really surprised that he is coming back to the BOK Center in Tulsa, OK. The last time he was here it sold poorly. Probably the only time Springsteen hasn't sold out a concert.

I have that one as well. He did like four nights, but I was at that one show. I know for sure because I remember us singing Happy Birthday to Roy Orbison.

Re: Bruce Springsteen - Letter To You - 10/23/20

There is some speculation that the lack of west coast area dates could be because Bruce and the band are locked in for a possible Desert Trip 2 in 2023, which would impose a big radius clause. So they wouldn't be able to announce anything until after that.

What does that mean? Desert Trip 2? Big radius clause?

Festival from a few years ago may return. https://deserttrip.com/

Anytime a band is booked for a festival there are radius clauses that restrict them from playing within X amount of miles of the festival. If this is actually what is going on than AEG could’ve imposed a large clause, but it would big a bigger payout for Bruce.

I've never been there but it certainly seems like Indio CA would be an incredibly inconvenient and uncomfortable venue to see major artists perform. No thanks.

Prices are insane for this tour. What once was $150ish is now $400. Not including fees. Going to have to wait until closer to the shows to get a ticket.

Are you talking about secondary market prices? Or the actual listed price on Ticketmaster?
If it's the secondary market, it doesn't really reflect the actual price until after the General sale because so few tickets get sold before the Pre-Sale (and it should be none, TBH )

No, I’m talking about the actual prices. One example: https://wellsfargocenter.evenue.net/...lobal-wachovia

Wow, $400 is a LOT for Bruce.
How do you see the asking price for Tickets? I can never see those before the Tickets go on sale.

I wouldn't pay $400 if it was a triple bill with clones replacing the dead members of The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd.

Re: Bruce Springsteen - Letter To You - 10/23/20

Cool, my wife got her first choice of Venues (Portland OR) and I got my first (or second, can't remember) - Kansas City.
Best of all, she gets a shot on Thursday while my pre-sale is next Tuesday. So that's two bites at the apple. Will have to travel, but for Bruce (first time in 24 years), I don't mind.

This pretty much guarantees he comes to Vegas on the second leg. 😅

Good luck. At least those are easier markets to deal with in terms of availability. But be prepared for the prices.
The whole situation is pretty disgusting to me. I might as well just travel to Europe.

I don't fully understand that story. You can still get face price tickets, but some percentage are just getting jacked up by Ticketmaster? That is going to be difficult for my wife who doesn't usually buy the concert tickets. Yuck.
I hope we can get decent tickets at face price. I don't mind spending $200-$300 per ticket for Bruce, but not double that.

Well, My wife was able to snag tickets for the Portland show. Top of the pricing tier, $419 each. Ouch!
BUT they are Sec 101, Row A. So about as good as you're going to get without GA standing room tickets (which I, and especially she, have no interest in). Hey, it won't break me, and it's my first time seeing him in almost 24 years. Plus I get to take my son to visit U of O on the same trip (he won't be attending the show).
Looking at the secondary market, these tickets would sell for over $1000 each. Kind of wish in retrospect she had bought 4 tickets, but whatever.

Sheesh, those ticket prices are insane. While I'd love to see Bruce and the band again, I can't justify it at those prices. Hell, I could probably purchase MOST of the tour's digital downloads for the price of one seat!

What a disappointment.

If this is what it is going to cost to start seeing top name acts (hell Eagles tickets are going for $200 nosebleeds to $500/800 floor for their September show), I'll stick to music festivals and smaller acts for my live music fix and remember, pun intended, the Glory Days, when I could see Bruce for like $20.

I'm too old for music festivals. Tried one day of Life is Beautiful last year and was totally wiped out (plus my wife won't do standing shows any more).
Yeah $400 is a fortune, but it's what many other top tier performers charge. It's just disappointing that Bruce is now grouped with Rolling Stones, Eagles, Adele, Beyonce and others who charge through the nose for every show.

Jesus, from what I saw prices for Boston were almost all over 1K per ticket with some over 7K. Fuck that, some working man's hero he turned out to be.

If Springsteen offered tickets for $100 they would just end up being scalped for what he is charging. Better the artists get the money than the resellers.
