Limp Bizkit Still Sucks
Figured I'd pop a thread up for this one, it comes out on Halloween Day. Not a big surprise considering Dad Vibes has actually gained some traction.
https://consequence.net/2021/10/limp...cks-new-album/ Honestly, never been their biggest fan, but a ton of music has started taking itself a little too seriously lately, so I'm always down for some silliness. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/dvdtalk...8d8f2e87e3.png |

Their new look
Guess they must be a big deal overseas to continue touring? https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/...060114525.html https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/dvdtalk...efe07d55d4.jpg |

Fred looks like Uncle Jesse!
Didn't have that on my 2023 bingo card. |

They have been touring Europe, specifically the eastern European countries, alot of the last couple of years. They only ever play major festivals in the states anymore. Admittingly I would go see them if they ever came through (and tickets weren't $200). They were a big gateway into metal along with Korn, Deftones, and Slipknot.

Wes Borland still rocks. Have you seen the size of those festivals? Shit, it's like 50K -100K per venue at the very least.

Re: Limp Bizkit Still Sucks
I can still look back at some of their songs and enjoy them. Faith, My Way, and Take a look Around are good songs to me. I'll agree Wes Borland has always been a good guitarist.

Re: Limp Bizkit Still Sucks
Looking back 5 Dollar Bill is a great album that has held up extremely well. Significant Other has some good songs but is alot of filler. Chocalete Starfish is probably my least favorite album (but the bands most popular) and it has 2-3 good songs but is almost all filler. I thought Results May Vary was a return to form sort of to 5 Dollar Bill and Gold Cobra was fun. You can tell Still Sucks was created over a decade as the album has no flow because the songs sound like what was popular during the period they were created.
The one thing that would hold me back from seeing them is the setlist being heavily favored towards CS. Taking a look at a recent setlist, 8 songs from CS, 5 from SS, 3 from SO and 1 from the rest. The only one from $5 is a medley of I'm Broke/Counterfeit/Pollution and Faith. |
Re: Limp Bizkit Still Sucks
They also do a badass cover Rage Against the MAchine cover of Killing in the Name Of and a medley of other well known songs. I think Wes does a Smells Like Teen Spirit cover, and sings it, too. They also do a Thieves from Ministry cover, as well.

I first saw them live in 1998 on the Family Values Tour. Saw them again last year in Reno, NV on their headlining tour. Still fun! |
