...this is a companion song to that one. This should be a staple on Classic Rock radio, too...
Leslie West was the real deal. He was actually Randy Rhoads' favorite guitar player. Very influential. Mountain was a groundbreaking band.
Leslie definitely left his mark on Rock and Roll!

West, Bruce & Laing rocks pretty good also. Love "Why Dontcha". Never got to see them all together. In 1976 saw Felix Papalardi's Creation open for Nazareth. In 1984 went to an 'oldies' show that featured Moby Grape, Iron Butterrfly, Mark Farner and Mountain. Had both Leslie and Corky.

For many years, Mississippi Queen was the one song where I didn't know who the original band was.
By the time I figured out it was Mountain, I didn't realize how much I was missing. Great stuff.
Sad to hear that West is gone.
