Re: What is that 80s Song name?
Let's take a different tact on this since its like searching for a needle in a haystack from your description:
A few questions:
A few questions:
- Do you remember any other words from the song other than "some girls" and "what to do" (outside of the chant from the women)? Can be short phrases like the above.
- Describe the lead singer's voice i.e. high, low, soulful, gravelly, etc.
- Was the mix it was on an official release, a bootleg, or something a friend put together for you?
- Can you make a new recording or your version of it? The version you posted is terribly distorted and sounds like it was recorded on a 40 year old portable cassette recorder

Re: What is that 80s Song name?
- Unfortunately I don't remember any other Lyrics.
- The singer guy seems to be similar to the vocal of Round One band (Jeffrey Staten) that I thought the two songs
were the same before I figured out the opposite because the mix was so good at matching the clips with subsequent
song (Theme From Rocky - Round One).
- The mix is not a friend collection, I think it made by DJ or something, As far as I can remember, in the beginning of
the tape there were a man saying something like" ..... Connect Part 4" continued with simple melody of (Colder Than
Ice - Grant Miller) then the mix starting with (unknow woman singer) then (All She Wants To Do Is Dance - Don Henley)
then (WANTED SONG) then (Theme From Rocky - Rond one).
- here is new humming:

Thanks.

At about the :30 mark in your new recording, it sounds like you sang some additional lyrics....something to the effect of "love makes you, makes you see..." Is that correct?

It may be that the song was popular in Europe but not in North America, which will make it that much more difficult to suss out for us Americans. I get the feeling that this could be the case by your mention of Round One, which was a German band that didn't make much of an impression in the US.

Not an exact match for the humming but let's throw this one against the wall to see if it sticks. No female voices with the "papa rapa aye yi yi" bit so probably not:
Den Harrow - To Meet Me
Den Harrow - To Meet Me

Will keep looking.
Some more questions:
Some more questions:
- Is it faster tempo disco (i,e, Staying Alive, Super Freak) or medium tempo (Disco Inferno, Let's Groove)? I'm assuming it is not a slower tempo disco song from your recording. Having a sense of beats per minute can help eliminate a lot of possibilities quickly.
- Is the section you hummed from the top of the song or somewhere in the middle of the song? A lot of Italo-Disco appears to have minute-long builds before they ever even hit the lead vocals.
- Similarly, is it a long track (over 5 minutes) or a shorter track (under 4 minutes)?
- Is what you hummed a straight connective thread in the song...in other words, if I listened to the song, would all of what you hummed happen in relatively the same time or is it sampled from various parts of the song?
- What is the background instrumentation like? Is it heavily canned synth, like the Round One "Theme from Rocky" track, or is it more typical rock instrumentation?

Eight years from now, some "New Member" will sign up for the site, and bump this thread with the right answer.

the songs, which is just as I hummed it, and it is similar to the (Theme from Rocky - Round One) so I thought it was the
same song or the same band as it was intertwined with where the girls' singing goes according to what I remember
and the part "Eye Of The Tiger" from (Theme from Rocky)come, then the girls get back to chant (aye yai yai yai papa
rapa aye yai yaaaai) eventually, and the girls chorus voices of wanted-song band and (Round One) band are very
similar.
- I think my recording is from the beginning or at least from the first quarter of original, the tape was Disco-Mix, while
(Don Henley) was continuing saying "All She Wants To Do Is Dance" my recording start exactly.
- Unfortunately, I can't tell the track duration due to the mix but I'm inclined to say it's under 4 minutes.
- In the second recording, the track was straight connective, as I were hearing it, and is not fragmented.
- I think the background instrumentation is like the (Round One - Theme from Rocky), and It is far from rock
instrumentation.
Thanks, I appreciate that

Re: What is that 80s Song name?
- The song seems a little fast or it is a little speedy because the mix was a little speedy and deliberately for the rest of
the songs, which is just as I hummed it, and it is similar to the (Theme from Rocky - Round One) so I thought it was the
same song or the same band as it was intertwined with where the girls' singing goes according to what I remember

At this point, I'm just trying to see if I can find the source track for the "some girls" tune. If I do find it, however, I don't suspect it will quite sound like what you remember.

I think this is as good of a time as any to post this recent "Reply All" podcast:
"The Case of the Missing Hit"
https://gimletmedia.com/shows/reply-all/o2h8bx
I won't spoil it, but it's very similar to what we have in this thread. One person remembers a song well, but can find no trace of it on the Internet.
