Out today. I have it downloaded digitally from iTunes already but haven’t gotten to listen to it yet. Will get the CD too just because I have all their other albums as physical releases.

I'm on my 3rd listen through as I work today. As someone who generally takes time to get into an album (and was not a particular fan of "Dance of the Clairvoyants"), I'm loving it, and am really pleased.

"Seven O'Clock" is the flat-out standout for me.

Really nice return to form after Backspacer and Lightning Bolt. Pretty solid throughout, which you can’t say for those two. The slower songs really stand out.

Picked it up today on a whim and really like it. Probably their best since Yield.

I figure that's the first leg and another will be announced soon. Otherwise, the closest for me is St. Louis and it would be an all-day drive nonstop to get there in time, probably not a good idea.

I’d try and see them in concert again, but they’re nowhere near me. Probably my best shot is if they do a second leg and hit the Minneapolis/Saint Paul area.

Yeah, I had tickets to the STL show for the 2020 date, but finally bailed on them and got a refund probably a year-ish back. Unless something changes, it seems I'll be sitting this tour out.

Wouldn't shock me if they played Lollapalooza in late July. That would explain skipping most of the Midwest.

Re: Pearl Jam: Gigaton - 3/27/20 (New Album + Tour)

Oh yay. The only thing I'd look forward to less than a Wrigley show would be Lollapalooza again.

At least I'd go to Wrigley, but I'm just too damn old to deal with Lolla anymore.

EDIT: actually, the European tour doesn't end 'til July 25th. No way they'd tack Lolla on after that.

Re: Pearl Jam: Gigaton - 3/27/20 (New Album + Tour)

That sucks. They've done the best they could with rotating drummers filling in for Matt. But hard to with Jeff getting COVID now too.

I'm supposed to travel for the Quebec show in September. It would be rough to have to deal with a cancellation after waiting over two years plus dealing with travel plans.

Re: Pearl Jam: Gigaton - 3/27/20 (New Album + Tour)

Pearl Jam announced some new tour dates. I might try and swing one of the St. Paul shows. Would love to do it but I’m getting married on August 26th and with wedding costs and whatnot not sure if it’ll happen. Both me and my fiancée are off until September 4th and I ran it by her and she would be up for it, so if I can get tickets and they’re not super expensive I might try.

I'm planning on one of those shows, too. Lemme know if you want to grab lunch during the day if you make it over for them!

In the lottery for both Chicago shows. Contemplating Indy, too.

Re: Pearl Jam: Gigaton - 3/27/20 (New Album + Tour)

I wish I would have kept my Ten Club membership active. I stopped it when they stopped doing the vinyl holiday single releases. Plus they haven’t toured nearby for a while (I saw them in 2014) so it’s kind of a waste to keep it active but yet it sucks being left out of the lottery for tickets. Ah well.

Re: Pearl Jam: Gigaton - 3/27/20 (New Album + Tour)

Well, that was rough.

Yesterday, got selected for both nights in Chicago, section 108.
This morning, woke up to an email stating I still have tickets, but seat assignments were screwed up.
This afternoon, I get new confirmations - section 212 one night, and 334 the next.

I'm pretty certain their next actions are to kill my dog tonight, and put sugar in my gas tank in the morning.

Unless they announce a new Vault bootleg release before my sub runs out (not 'til next April - just renewed at the beginning of the month) I'm pretty sure I'm done with the 10 Club. It's been a mediocre run.

Re: Pearl Jam: Gigaton - 3/27/20 (New Album + Tour)

Something similar happened to us. We also got a confirmation for our tickets with seats, then told the seat assignments were messed up, and got new seats. Must've happened across the system. I think a free bootleg album or something would be a reasonable "sorry about that" for the whole mess.

Went from a closer section up higher to one section further but 20 rows closer to the floor. Both sets in the 100s section.

I'll say, I'm pretty disappointed we can't pick our seats. We're both larger people and much prefer picking aisle seats so we can have a little breathing room into to aisle. Maybe we'll take the end seats in our row and see if the people who have them want to trade to sit a lot closer in our row.

Re: Pearl Jam: Gigaton - 3/27/20 (New Album + Tour)

This is quickly becoming the Best New Comedy of 2023:

A message from Ten Club

We are sending a note to all Ten Club reserved seat ticket holders.

We apologize for the confusion and extra time it has taken to complete Ten Club’s presale. What we initially believed to be one issue affecting five shows turned out to be two separate issues - one originating from Ticketmaster and the second from Ten Club - affecting Ten Club seniority-based seating assignments across all nine shows. This had no impact on who got tickets, but did affect where those ticket holders’ seats were assigned. Based on this updated information, we now know the first attempt to fix these issues wasn’t sufficient. We remain fully committed to making things right.

In the coming days, Ten Club and Ticketmaster will be working on a solution to reassign seats to their final proper seniority based order. For some of you this will be a second reassignment. Tickets will not show in your Ticketmaster account until all seating assignments are finalized. You’ll be notified of any changes to your seating assignment in the next week. You will not lose your tickets and Friday’s Verified Fan on sale will not impact your seats.

We also want to address fan frustration about Ten Club tickets being located in higher levels of the venues compared to prior tours. We are committed to getting more inventory into the hands of Ten Club members and the only way to add more tickets is to go higher up. As a result of this additional inventory, we were able to allocate more tickets to Ten Club members than on any previous arena tour.

We want to reassure you that if you received an email confirmation, you have tickets to the show. We apologize that you may not know exactly where your seats will be located yet.

We are grateful for the Ten Club community and striving to do our best for you. Thank you for your patience.

Ten Club

I’m on the waitlist for tickets. I’m not expecting to actually get them. Fingers crossed.
