I was excited to hear about this album and was all set to get it, then I listened to it. It was a fairly bland covers of songs, most of them as mentioned already have been done to death. Also what possessed them to cover "No Scubs", that was just bad.

They covered Toni Braxton's Unbreak My Heart before, so I guess there is some precedent for them doing an R&B cover. But Unbreak My Heart was nowhere near as awful as their cover of No Scrubs.

I actually expected the No Scrubs cover to be worse than it is. Not a great version of the song and a strange choice, but I donít think itís as bad as itís being made out. I think the best songs on this are Africa, Happy Together, and Stand By Me.

I thought no Scrubs was hilarious.

I also thought this quote by Rivers was great: “I was trying to decide which gender perspective to sing it from then I saw this tweet that said, ‘If you’re a guy covering a song by a girl, you gotta keep the pronouns. For those three minutes you’re gay.’ So I was like, ‘Cool, let’s try this.”

I added Rosanna as an 11th track on my lossless version.

I’d never heard of Zonkey before, despite kinda halfway liking UM as a 2nd to 3rd tier jam band. This is pretty great so far.

Haha yeah me neither until recently, I hold them in the same regard. That said, that album has been in regular rotation for me for a couple weeks now though. It's fun.
