Re: Albums Bought (2019)

I stupidly sold my original vinyl of these years ago, and most of the reissues of these albums on CD and vinyl are botched because the record label doesn't give a shit. So I had to go with these limited "unofficial" CD releases taken from needledrops of the original vinyl pressings, that apparently sound way better than any official current versions available. Believe me, if the label ever gets their shit together and makes actual quality remasters of these albums, I'll be the first in line, but for now I have to go with the best versions available.

The worst case of this I ever came across, was Anthrax's first album "Fistful of Metal".
Just about every cd version of "Fistful of Metal" I ever came across, sounded like garbage.
Nowadays I can't seem to find anymore my old vinyl copy from back in the day. Hopefully I didn't give it away.

I kind of want this, is it hard to find?
Oh man, I used to have a nice Canadian pressing of this album from Banzai Records. Long gone unfortunately, I never heard this on CD, I didn't realize it sounded so much worse. This seems to be not exactly rare with 80's thrash metal releases.
On a tangent.

Behemoth "Messe Noire" - live double album on green vinyl with hardcover book. Picked it up for 70% off on Deep Discount's blowout sale (first thing I ordered there in years!

Nice, I bought that when it came out. Some great stuff on the Blu-rays, the promo videos that were shot on film (e.g. Paperback Writer/Rain) look stunning.

Re: Albums Bought (2019)
I didn't even know it existed. I knew about the single CD and the CD/DVD combo but I saw this as someone was bringing it to the local CD shop for trade in. I snatched it up for $15 which looks like a steal based on the prices online.

2nd 2019 album purchase of the year -- released this week. Been anticipating this for a while. Plenty of guest artists contribute to the record as well (Willie Nelson, Steve Earle, Ringo Starr, Billy Gibbons among others).

Satan - Cruel Magic
A NWOBHM band that put out a couple albums in the 80's, disappeared for nearly 30 years, came back out of nowhere and have put out three great albums since, as if they never left. I think this was one of the best metal albums released last year, solid from start to finish.
