17+ Min Geddy Lee Interview

He is pushing a "Coffee Table" Bass Book that sounds interesting. Some RUSH Nerd stuff of course but also...Geddy Lee Says He and Alex Lifeson Will "Make Some Noise Together" Again

Nice interview, except the female DJ. She is probably the most annoying person I have heard on radio, can't imagine listening to her on a daily basis.

I listened to the recent Eddie Trunk interview. The gist being, Peart is not only retired from Rush, he's retired from drumming period. RUSH as we knew it is no more. And that's fine. Neil has earned it. Hell, they've all earned it.

Looking for more great music with Geddy and Alex, hopefully soon.

And that book looks magnificent.

Well, I was fortunate enough to score a ticket to Geddy and Alex's appearance at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame for Rush Fan Day! Ticket includes a copy of the book which also includes a signing after Geddy's QA (with Alex being the moderator..that should be pretty fun!). It (their appearance for Rush Fan Day) was announced Wednesday and takes place on the 18th. I didn't think I had a chance at a ticket, but my flight and hotel are booked! I finally get to meet one of the guys (only Geddy is signing).

They should use a drum machine just to screw with people.

Got to meet Geddy and see Geddy and Alex. I've never seen them outside of concert setting and you could tell these guys have been best friends their entire lives (Geddy even introduced him as his BFF). I would bank on them putting something out together because Alex brought up several times how he's like to get back to playing with Geddy.

And the book? It is BIG and it is BEAUTIFUL (and heavy!!)!! Fantastic photography and interesting stories about the basses themselves.

I know this would never, ever happen, but I'd love to see Geddy and Alex bring in a real virtuoso drummer but have Neal write all the lyrics.. Someone like one of the guys currently in King Crimson (especially Jeremy Stacey or Pat Mastelotto) would fit in nicely and I think that level of musician would be accepted by fans. Hell, bring 'em both along, as the multiple drummers are one of the biggest highlights of KC live.

I know it wouldn't be the "real" thing, but with Neal's health it's the best we could do.
