Re: Kiss Announce Final ‘End of the Road’ World Tour
The 70's, when life was cheap. I'm just trying to imagine a conversation within any band that went like this "Hey, our lead guitarist has been a complete pain in the ass lately. Should we fire him?" "Nah, let just send him to the Bahamas for a 'private party' and have him bumped off!".

Well, after seeing the opening night setlist and watching a few videos, I'm glad I passed on this. Same tired setlist, what happened to 25 songs Paul? Stage is kind of interesting, but they looked extremely bored up there. I'm glad I caught the original farewell tour with the original 4.

Sirius XM just started a new KISS channel (#30) for a limited time. Listened to a little today and it was a solid mix of interviews, deep cuts, live stuff I hadn't heard and music from all the decades.

Oh yeah, it's being reported that there is unfortunately a lot of lip syncing from Paul.

I couldn't care less if they lip sync or not because I'm not going to the show anyways, but the YouTube threads shows that people see what they want to see. There are people who seem desperate for it to be true for some reason. Nothing I see or hear in these videos convinces me they are faking it. But to each their own.

It would not surprise me as his voice has been bad the last few years, and it was pretty good in that video.
However, going on that video alone, I can't see any lip-syncing.
I am a bit disappointed in the set list. I'll be at the show in Columbus and will still thoroughly enjoy it though.

I'm not even looking at the set list. Not so much for spoilers, but just because it's pretty predictable. It's not like they're going to bust out Kissin' Time, She's So European, or Baby Driver.

The Drama surrounding the tour is more interesting than the tour.

Apparently, timing being off means lip syncing. That's all I have seen on YT posts
I never witnessed it personally. The man was singing when I saw them. He was right in front of me. But who cares. It's the last tour (yeah right) but what makes it lame is the same old setlist.
Play the few radio popular songs but you have so many that you haven't played in ages, just play them!

Yeah, can't really tell if any lip syncing from that HOF clip above. Regarding setlist, KISS must be awfully tired playing the same commercial hits for decades. I'd want to play some of the deeper tracks to break up the monotony of it all.

Yes the setlist is one reason I have decided not to go. I was really hoping they would mix it up more. I knew it was going to be the same old same old when Paul Stanley stated obscure songs are obscure for a reason. BUT you have tons of songs that are not obscure you just don't play them for some reason...Cost is another; I could just not justify to myself that 2 tickets would have been $400 where I wanted to sit. I will but the eventual blu when it comes out.

A buddy of mine saw them in Vegas and said that Paul definitely has backing vocals helping him out. He's not lip syncing, though. Also, don't know if you guys have seen Tommy Lee and Nikki Sixx calling out Kiss for using their stage design (the individual moving platforms) from their farewell tour. They're not happy about it.

^^ Trans-Siberian Orchestra has been doing the crane thing for a couple years too. Not as newsworthy as hating on KISS though.
