Re: Your Top 5 favourite Beatles solo albums.

It seems odd, but of all the post Beatle era (1970-75/76) solo albums the most popular and biggest seller was the Ringo album.

Not the best but my favorites

Paul-Band on The Run
George-Living in the Material World
Ringo-Ringo
John-Mind Games
Paul-At The Speed of Sound

My top four are one album from each Beatle in 1973. Says more about where I was at in 1973 than the music itself.

Just have two;

John Lennon- Plastic Ono Band
Paul McCartney & Wings- Wings Over America (live)

I just heard "All Things Must Pass" for the first time a few months ago and was disappointed.

I'm a huge Beatles fan too.

There is a reason I only have the solo "hits' albums from John, Paul, and George. Never found any of the full albums worth a purchase like the Beatles albums.

Re: Your Top 5 favourite Beatles solo albums.

Iím mostly familiar with Paul and John post Beatles. George had some good output too but I didnít get as into it. Iíll just pick some favorites from each.

I actually like a couple of Paulís more recent albums quite a bit. Chaos and Creation in the Backyard and Memory Almost Full. Of course his classics like Band on the Run, McCartney, and McCartney II.

For John Iíd say Imagine, Milk And Honey, and Double Fantasy. I donít really know that I have two more.

The only one I have is Cloud Nine, which I like quite a bit ("When We Was Fab" is such a unique song; prickly yet melodic). I used to own All Things Must Pass, but didn't care for it much, except for "Awaiting On You All".

Re: Your Top 5 favourite Beatles solo albums.

1. All Things Must Pass - GH
2. Ram - PMc
3. Imagine - JL
4. Chaos & Creation in the Backyard - PMc
5. 33 1/3 - GH

When it comes to the solo material, I've always loved Paul & George's output the most. John had some quality control issues after POB and Imagine, although I've come to love Walls & Bridges much more lately.

Ringo, god bless him.
