Yeah, sold them on Thursday. Stubhub took $800 of that. I figured PayPal would take a few percent, but was surprised to see the full $7,200 there today. So $5,700 profit. Heh, 57. I guess I have to pay taxes on that?
I hate scalpers so much, but here I am... it’s a broken system.

That’s cool. That means someone actually spent close to $10k on the tickets after all the fees. If someone doesn’t think twice about dropping that, that’s on them. I do it on the side to make some extra cash sometimes. The only reason I justified going is I sold my extra $400 ticket for $1500. The prices were ridiculous but I didn’t want to miss it. Hell, people were spending $1000 + on secondary market tickets to the book appearances that were only $35 and only got you next to him for like 5 seconds.

This was excellent and worth watching.

The highlight was him being mostly honest about what his critics have accused him of for years. It’s an act. Just as Brian Wilson didn’t know how to surf, Bruce barely knew how to drive and didn’t have a license when he wrote all those songs about the the road stretching out before you and it could take you toward any possible new fate. He never worked in a factory either.

And the show (just as his career) has a pretty clear line between everything before Born in the USA and after. There’s some excellent renditions here of The Rising and Ghost of Tom Joad, but they are inferior songs.

I was 50/50 about going again, but since he changed the show up a bit, and I was able to snag a $75 ticket in the first row of the balcony, I decided to go. It's been too long since I've seen him live.

With travel as it is, looks like Bruce on Broadway will just have to live in my life as the Netflix special. I've seen him live now 7 times and hope he gets out on the road with the band for a few more tours.

I just started listening to him reading his Autobiography. It's really amazing, actually, and I totally suggest downloading the audiobook for Born to Run.

Maybe he'll finally return to Vegas now that we have a state-of-the-art NFL Stadium. I've been living here for almost 18 years and he's never performed in this city that whole time, despite releasing a live performance of "Viva Las Vegas" on one of his albums.

I can't imagine him filling a stadium in Vegas. An arena, like T-Mobile, would be more likely. It sounds like you just missed him... 19 years ago at UNLV.

This weekend something called Illenium is playing the first concert at Allegiant Stadium. Next week it's Garth Brooks. In August, GnR. I imagine that Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are at least a bigger draw than two of those, or at least Illenium.

I’ve seen him over 25 times and have travelled for him too. I don’t recall him playing anywhere in North America west of Chicago in a stadium besides LA. It’s just not his market. He could certainly book and play there, I just don’t think it would be filled. Stadium shows for him are in the North East and Europe.

That thing this weekend doesn’t even look to have sold the upper levels. This current tour for GnR is selling terribly. I don’t think they’ve even sold half a stadium on any date. They should’ve booked amphitheaters.

Then I wonder why he hasn't been in Vegas in so long. There's no other big touring act who has avoided this market for that long - - it's not just a bigger US city, it's one of the Entertainment capitals of the United States. The closest any other touring artist came to totally skipping Vegas was Taylor Swift, but she did headline a music festival once. I had always assumed she and Bruce skipped playing a show in Las Vegas because they were primarily stadium acts (and our old stadium was not a venue you would want to play).
