This is definitely different. Image Dream Theater fronted by a black woman who sings with a distinctly soulful sound. I love seeing genre-defying bands like this doing something different.

Sounds like any other generic radio metal band. She's got a great voice and this is sure to be popular but not really anything new to the genre.

It's a pretty good record and all the songs kind of flow together. Certainly didn't strike me as commercial.

Bought it a few days ago. Probably listened to it 3 times so far. I'm really digging it, but not hearing the Dream Theater style Traxon mentions.
