More Bodeans: "Still the Night" Sam Llanas has one of the most distinctive voices in music.

I don't think I have yet posted this magisterial synth-pop epic in this thread. "Worlds Away" by Strange Advance, a band that produced three albums, all masterpieces.

I used to love that album. I haven’t listened to it in ages, but I used to have a cassette that I listened to in the car all the time back in college. Should add it to my Spotify library.

One of my all-time one-hit-wonders by the Human Beinz. They take the Isley Bros classic to a new level.

Their debut and its follow-up are very good, but I'd say nominally their best record is 2010's Mr. Sad Clown, though the best material, like "Headed for the End of the World" (below, user-made video), is toward the middle and end.

Wow! Haven't heard that in yonks. It still sounds great!

Here's another, from the same era. I just bought an original CD of Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This), but I think this is my favourite track from the album:

If that's a new level, then what is this?:

Not really a Eurythmics fan, but I just discovered The Tourists and I'm totally digging them:

Haven't heard Strange Advance since high school. You sure like to dig through the vaults for Canadian artists.

I'll see your "Worlds Away" from a Canadian synth-pop/new wave band, and raise you "Worlds Apart" from a Canadian prog-rock band. It really was a masterpiece album.

Ha! More good stuff.

I worked with Steve Negus, the drummer from the peak Saga years, when I was writing music software, way back around 1990. Nice guy, from what I remember.
