^ Reposting a story I wrote about here in 2004 :
Funny true story:
In early 1990, I was living in Santa Barbara. For Earth Day, there's a big star-studded concert wth Jackson Browne, Kenny Loggins and others. The last performer was an unannounced Christopher Cross. Now, even though this was 14 years ago, it had still been a long time since most of us in the audience had heard or seen Mr. Cross. We were, almost universaly stunned at how much weight he had gained in the interval. You could kinda hear a general murmer go though the crowd as he got ready to perform. Then, just as his band stopped tuning their instruments and there was a moment of silence on stage, a little boy near the front yelled very loudly to his dad "HE'S REAL FAT!!!". Everybody nearby broke out laughing. The embarassed father smiled and said "Well, he calls 'em like he sees 'em". I felt bad for poor Christopher Cross that day, but it was kinda shocking after having not seen him in so long.

BTW : I've not been a fan before, but a couple of podcasters I like have in the past raved about Jenny Lewis. I noticed this past weekend that she had a new album out called On The Line with an intriguing cover photo :
Anyway, I decided to give it a quick listen and discovered that I REALLY liked it. So many good tracks, but I really enjoyed the opening one.

I've been re-watching Skins, and heard this song in the series 3 finale.
Beatles-esque. Really nice!

I'd like to think this thread is a judgment-free zone.

When I hear this I have the urge to put on overalls and hang out in the country or the swamp.

Ack, I've never been a fan of this song. I love LZIII, it's one of my favorite Zep albums, but I almost always stop playing it before this song comes on at the end. I kind of wish they would have done a more straightforward version of "Shake 'Em On Down", or at least mixed this version normally.
